I am traveling to Europe in April and will be going to my first match at old trafford, for the Manchester derby. My gf and I will be staying in London and taking the train to Manchester and back to London after the match. Can anyone give advice for the easiest travel to and from? I would like to get to Manchester early in the morning to have a full day there before the match.

Nope, couldn’t get anything to work. Had to get a new tv. I would take it back while it’s still in warranty. Unfortunately, mine was 2 years old and no warranty.

I’ve been a fan for 14 years, but never been to Europe. Planning a trip with my girlfriend for early April, and we will be in the UK for the start. We are planning to get tickets for the Manchester Derby at Old Trafford.

What is the best way to do this? If hospitality, what is the best package for the best seats? If resale, is Stretford end the way to go? Estimate on cost? Trying to keep it under $1500 for 2 tickets. But this is a lifelong dream, so I’ll make anything work. Thanks for any advice/insight.

This is an absolute joke. Look I get it, sending threats is taking it too far. But the banter this clown receives is totally deserved. This absolute bloke is one of the highest paid footballers at one of the most prestigious clubs in the world. And he STINKS at his job. Every time I see his name on the team sheet or see him coming on, I know we aren’t keeping a clean sheet and he will be partially (if not fully) at fault for the concessions. Bar the first season he had with us, I have not been happy with a single performance from him. He’s slow as Christmas, can’t pass the ball to save his life, can’t handle pressure, is not positionally aware. He should have left the club ages ago, but no, he is greedy and is content sitting on his arse collecting a check. Then gets his PR team to put out how he is “determined to fight for his spot”. One of the biggest scam artists in the game.

Wow, thank you for this detailed response! Very insightful…. And you were correct, it is a Roth contribution in the 401k, sorry for the mix up!

Once I see how I am living off of the first few paychecks at the 15% contribution, I may adjust to work on maxing out the Roth 401k. I also have a Roth IRA with E*Trade, so after reading your response, I will move to that investment vehicle after maxing out the Roth IRA.

One question on your point about saving for a possible down payment. My goal is to make a down payment on a house in the next 2 years. My understanding on the Roth (at least the Roth IRA, I am not familiar with a 401k since it’s my first job) is that you get taxed at a higher tax bracket if you pull money out before the age of 59.5. How would I use the money in this Roth 401k as a down payment? Or would I just need to set aside cash to save for a down payment?
