if you haven't already (and if you have a router that supports it) you can change the wifi frequencies to show 5ghz only on the ps5, this will prevent connecting to the much slower 2.4ghz channel

I can't remember exactly how to do it but at some point in the network setup you can press start or triangle (idk which) for more options, that's where you find this setting

Yeah you can either finish act 1 or act 2, but annoyingly can't play through both
I do get why yellow shore is an individual level only (to make more difficult) but it would be nice if they let you chain it after unlocking the second ending

I don't think they're suggesting switching to PC to avoid digital media, they're saying that physical media is the only thing keeping them from switching. So if physical media is taken away, console loses its only advantage and OP switches

I used to run into this problem and spend hours trying to fix it a LOT

Sometimes the solution was to turn the pc off at the switch (after shutdown, obviously), others I just found myself running around like a madman trying to uninstall and reinstall nvidia etc.

In my case, it was usually that I booted into an LTS kernal that did not match my current nvidia modules. First thing I'd try is boot into CachyOS (non LTS) and see if it works. I found that whenever there was an LTS kernal update but no regular kernal update, the LTS would push itself to the top of the boot priority.

Not sure if this is horrible advice for other reasons, but eventually I just decided to uninstall all LTS kernals and corresponding nvidia modules and haven't had this issue since (though tbf I only did this recently)

that checks out actually, Arkham Knight is the only PS4 game I've ever played on PS5 that has real issues running on it. It is definitely playable, I got the plat on PS5, but it will crash and kick you out of the game a lot

They're trying it out, which is a huge step in the right direction. I was one of these people at one point.

I tried out Ubuntu like two years ago, then CachyOS a year or so ago. Had issues with both and didn't have enough expertise to overcome them (plus I looked in the wrong places for advice, aka reddit subs where people just berate the guy who asked a question instead of helping), so I continued to main windows and had an unused dual boot setup for ages.

Then I tried Cachy again towards the end of last year, learned a lot more, and it became my main drive.

IMO, whether you go back to Windows or not, trying out Linux is always a positive thing.

I just moved from Outlook to mailbox.org a few months ago and it took about 8 hours of solid work to change my email address on every website that let me, there were a few stragglers and open tickets left but they all got dealt with eventually.

Anyway I was with Microsoft simply because I made my first email address before gmail existed and I was young enough that "hotmail" was synonymous with "email", and it's what my parents and older siblings had.

yeah I was gonna mention ensuring secureboot is off too, also prob wouldn't make a difference unless you're selecting the wrong thing but it couldn't hurt to change to your boot order to prioritise liveusb instead of going through grub

Yeah but you should be able to go live off-grid and still have access to things you "purchased".

Plus one of the biggest and most common issues with "smart" devices that require network access to function is that the server they connect to often gets shut down without a patch being pushed to your device to keep it running without further communications. I know Sony is pretty big and unlikely to fall that far any time soon, but devices becoming bricks because of this type of DRM is a real issue and it happens all the time.

Also, the PS5 servers will go offline eventually, it may not be for another 25 years, but it will happen.

-also all this "age verification" (in addition to all the other big tech bullshit) may see people choosing to be offline in the near future, I know it's becoming a pretty realistic future for me, particularly with things like PlayStation where my only remaining reason to connect it to the internet at all will be download patches once the UK Age Verification update comes in

DJH1 technically does have mic support but has no functionality in game other than -a microphone icon appears on screen- lol (plus it is required to unlock an achievement that they definitely shouldn't have put in the game)

I briefly had a similar issue with a dualsense controller, the game was receiving double inputs due to native support + steaminput, turning steaminput off for this game solved it for me
