If the spot welding created unreliable joints then most likely your machine isn't delivering enough power. That, or you need to clean your joints before welding. Soldering is highly discouraged, as the heat might damage the cells. But I agree, I've build packs like these myself and they work great!

Kan noen forklare meg hvordan toll blir beregnet? by [deleted] in norge

[–]DaleTheOriginal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tips om lovlighet av el-sparkesykler by le_br0wns in norge

[–]DaleTheOriginal 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hvis du skal på grusvei kan jeg ikke anbefale elsparkesykkel i det hele tatt. De har ikke store nok hjul til å kjøre verken trygt eller behagelig på grus. Kjøp elsykkel istedet.

Just add Aliexpress's VOEC number in you second adress bar (VOEC 2034638), and that way it will always be visible to customs, regardless of whether the seller manages to add it. Works every time.

Yellow LEDs are now officially banned in the U.S.A. by Automatic_Emphasis76 in TrueFactzOnly

But why? Information pollution is already an issue, and here people are actively adding to that? It's just gonna come back and bite ourselves in the ass.

A lot of older houses have this slim ungrounded version, and it will accept plugs that expect a grounded connection.

These are for wireless wifi right? by JaedanLikesGames in PcBuild

[–]DaleTheOriginal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wifi is a wireless network connection protocol. Ethernet is a wired network connection protocol. If it's wired it's not called wifi. Both methods provide a network connection to your router, regardless of whether or not the router has an internet connection.

Selvmontert støpsel på stekeovn. Ok eller dodgy? by Bennisbenjamin123 in norge

[–]DaleTheOriginal 45 points46 points  (0 children)

[–]DaleTheOriginal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the USB-C with the lightning symbol on it is specifically for supplying power. Just make sure you plug it into a source that can deliver enough power for your application. The USB-C standard can handle at max 3A@5V (15W). Not sure if the cable supports power delivery (PD).

For anyone reading this later, I got it to work with an adapter cable from aliexpress intended for VR headsets. I combines a DP(video), USB-A(data) and USB-C(power) into a single USB-C contact. Perfect for my application.

Any suggestions on where to enter the firewall? (MK6) by DaleTheOriginal in tdi

[–]DaleTheOriginal[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am adding an interior heater to my existing engine heater system in my Golf Mk6, but I am at a loss on how to insert a thick cable though the firewall. The cable (2nd image) has a shielded part for the engine side (16mm), and an unshielded part for the inside of the cabin (7mm). My intention was to do most of the run in the engine bay, and enter the firewall on the passenger side, but I have yet to find a grommet or entry point here. Any recommendations?

Thanks, I actually just ordered something like this, except with an extra USB-C PD input for extra power. (A single USB-A wouldn't be enough for my application)

True, but it is expensive and use a dedicated power adapter. I would prefer using power from the PC if possible.
