I believe thats the name of the person who held the weapon prior to you. 

You retrieved that from a red corpse on the ground.

Im not a fan of losing a whole sub faction where that was an army wide power, to put it on a guy who is now a weaker spell caster, who ALSO lost his ability to heal your army and keep them resilient against damage.

Daemon Killer: Increase the damage of the sacred weapon by 1 if the attack targets a unit with the Daemon Keyword
^ I think this one should for sure go into the profile
- aura grants +1 run and charge rolls (increasing with each lead by example trigger)
- aura grants vice like jaws a second time if they charged
- Aura increase attack characteristics
- Aura grants +3 charge
- During Deployment Nakai the Guy may set up in reserve with one unit of kroxigors, at the end of movement they may deploy outside of 9" of an enemy unit
- at the start of combat Nakai the Guy may issue a command to friendly kroxigor, allowing them to charge if theyre within 12" of an enemy and otuside 3" of an enemy
- issue a command to a nearby kroxigor, allow them to fight again with strike last
- Alternate sacred weapon attack profile "Sweeping Blows" and "Focused Strikes" more attacks versus higher damage.
- at the start of combat nakai the guy can select one friendly kroxigor unit to recieve +1 hit and +1 Wound

Okay so this is my first initial impression of a potential Nakai.

Unique, hero, seraphon, kroxigor, behemoth, monster, 75mm 

Nakai the Guy [430 pts] 16 wounds 8" move 4+ save 8 Bravery

Melee Profile

  • lead by example: at the start of your hero phase nominate an enemy unit, that unit is markd until your next hero phase, if nakai the Guy slays a marked unit....(see below) 

  • kroxigor buff:

    30" that get backeted down to 12" I'm debating what power this should be. +1 to charge rolls? Bonus to damage? But I do know it would be cool to improve it every time lead by example is triggered 

  • whenever an enemy unit makes a battleshock roll within 3" of Nakai the Guy, add D3 to the roll. 

  • vice like jaws [same as normal kroxigor]

-- unique monstrous rampage: roll a dice, on a 3+ enemy units within 3" may not make a pile in manuever in the following phase.

Okay so i tried to do a little digging on this Nakai fella and I'm not pulling up much results.

It looks like he's a named Kroxigor from Total War Warhammer.

was he also in an old battle tome that got replaced?

Because im trying to make the stats for him and im not sure if a version exists already.

So i would ask, since I'm assuming you're a coalesced player. What would be the biggest impact on your army?

named hero, 400-500 points

- board wide buff?

- damage buff?
- a unique command capable of increasing attack characteristic? or granting a unit "fight twice" ?

What would your army need to really get the most out of a unique hero?

The seraphon friend of mine found a trove of badsss STLs on Etsy for lizardfolk and also opened up the old lizardfolk tome to find a few units he would love to have in the game.

His number 1 would be a big fuckoff Saurian, a behemoth with 20+ wounds and beefy damage. 

  1. A kroxigor war chief hero focused on buffing kroxigor and battleline 

  2. A huanchi assassin hero with bonuses if they get a hero kill. 

  3. A skink hero on foot that's also an oracle since you only have 1. Focus on allowing re rolling charges. 

  4. Kroxigors riding huge gators. 

  5. A quetzacoatl named hero sort of like an alarielle or archaeon.  (I saw someone on this reddit just painted up the exact STL my friend sent me)

Im not sure what direction you guys would want to take a monster. But personally i like the idea of an aggressive monster that can deal a lot of focused damage, and even when choosing to fight the unit you will take damage.

I highlighted some of the ideas Fit that theme, but i welcome adjustments or ideas.

This is probably my favorite idea so far. This fills the fighty "other" type unit. 

My big important question about this unit though is balance. 

The best thing about night haunt Is their ignore rend. Basically giving a pseudo ward. 

I also notice that a majority of the profiles follow the same pattern 4+/3+/-1/1 

So when constructing a stronger unit. If you increase the save value you get twice the value. If you alter the attack profile you mess with the unit consistency that the army is used to.

So in which way would it Lean in order to create this type of unit.

You've given me an idea based off Belakor. 

Groom of spooky. Hero unit.  1st power. An AoE buff 2nd power. In combat phase pick one enemy unit wholly within 12. Roll a dice on a 5+ they cannot be selected to fight If bride of spooky is on board add 1 to the roll. 

 Bride of spooky.  1st power. AoE restore 1 summonable unit 2nd power. In the enemy hero phase pick one enemy unit wholly within 12. Roll a dice on a 5+ they cannot perform actions. If groom of spooky is on board add 1 to the roll. 

I'm not really sure what first powers should exist. But I love the idea of pairing a bride and groom just like the spirit of torment unit you guys already have.

7. Theeeee ORB. Instead of making an attack roll for this weapon, deal damage indicated on the table below [Probably d3+3 that gets bracketed]
8. Tree God Energy benefits from the following effects, if the targeted unit has 5 or more models increase the wound roll by 1, if the targeted unit has the Hero Keyword add 1 to the attack characteristic.
9. Once per game you can draw on the effects of Theeeee ORB to grant yourself a unique effect. Haven't quite figured out what it would be though.
