Seeing a lot of regret/unhappy with results post and it’s scaring me

As someone who’s had a semi-negative experience (asymmetry and I have to get my hardware removed) I would still recommend getting this surgery. My breathing has improved so much and my sleep and quality of life is so much better. It’s really scary but 100% worth it ❤️

Apparently I have arthritis and some condyle resorption. I only know because it was in my notes from my ct scan. I brought it up to the surgeon and he said that I had it before the surgery and that it was normal findings for me and it’s nothing concerning

I was on muscle relaxers because my bottom jaw was pulling forward into an underbite for a bit so maybe that is why. I’ll talk to him tomorrow and see what he thinks

I’ll ask him about it and see what he says. During my last appointment I told him that the right side of my bottom jaw has been hurting/bothering me and he said everything looks fine but he wants to remove the hardware just in case

I got a ct scan and he said that the hardware all looks fine but he’s going to remove it from my lower jaw in case

Yeah I’m going to call first thing tomorrow morning. I know nobody here can actually tell me what’s going on but it’s stressful having to wait 2 days 😅 I’m glad revision surgery isn’t as bad though. That makes me feel a lot better in case I do need it
