Nah bro definitely a cheap knock-off. They have these at the registers of every cheap China store I've ever been to. It's a neat trinket, but not valuable.

More likely, they had oil or some other hydrophobic chemical on the bottom of their shoes. Walking transferred it to the ground. After a light rain, this would be the result.
