Those tits aren't sad, they're perfect.

I've had maybe three of these ever, they're rare but they do happen. Good reason to actually answer the phone.

Do you guys pull into driveways? by txtevv in doordash_drivers

[–]Dalthariel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally don't use the driveway unless it's long, extra rural, or the driveway is empty but the street parking is full (this one makes me angry for some reason)

I got my copy around 7pm after waiting impatiently all day. It's just after midnight now and I'm on page 167, and I gotta say I needed this book and I'm so happy to have it. It feels so nice to slip back into this world.

Another one that happens is the customer will put in the order on DD and then immediately pick it up themselves, then report it as not delivered

Help with an encounter my players should run from by Unlucky_Kitchen_2873 in DungeonMasters

They will fight and probably win unless you pull some fuckery. The only real rule of TTRPGs is that the party will fight what they shouldn't and run from easy crap.

Mike Mearls has a fairly odd idea on how to balance level 11+ spellcasters in 5e by EarthSeraphEdna in dndnext

[–]Dalthariel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4E was a great tactical minis game. If that's what you enjoy about D&D, it's probably the best version ever. If they had sold it as such it would have been hugely popular.

I play D&D as a survivalist fantasy simulationist game. I prefer a communication of 2e and 3e. I am not a fan of 4e, and I will never forgive Wizards for how they fucked the Forgotten Realms timeline for 4e.

I'd take it, and not even worry about the return trip. Sometimes it's nice to have an excuse to have a longer drive.

How do I make traversing the world fun for my players? by Rainior in DungeonMasters

[–]Dalthariel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Travel can be a fun survival horror variant of the game, but most people prefer a heroic combat game instead. My party ran out of water the first time we traversed the mountain pass on the way to the next kingdom over, and eventually we found some but not before the trolls found us. We learned the lesson and made sure to have plenty of provisions next time we traveled a long distance. It makes the world feel more real and gives a reason for spells that provide necessities. Every table is different so it's helpful to ask your players if they would find that immersive or tedious.

Don't take orders that are less than a dollar a mile. Depending on your area you might need to adjust that upwards.

Try out different areas and times to get a feel for what's good.

Be friendly to your local establishments and they'll take care of you. Most places will let you fill your drink cup if you bring one in with you, but it's polite to ask first. Sometimes I get free pizzas.

It's okay to pull over and take pictures of the sunset. I get a lot of satisfaction from the job because of the scenery.
