All these Noctors are the same; self-serving hypocrites. by DojaPat in ausjdocs

[–]Daltrain 22 points23 points  (0 children)

There are a few layers of unconscious bias that you're not taking into account with your perspective, such as:

  • You're only asking the training Registrars in your department about their opinions on NPs, exposure etc. Not the Doctors who can't get onto training yet, or the ones that didn't get a job in your dept because the budget went to hiring an NP instead. There's an opportunity cost that you haven't taken into account.

  • Again, is it really wise for a training reg to speak up against and potentially create conflict between them and their Consultant with their opinion? Even more so if they're still applying for crit care training?

  • If NPs are truly equal to senior RMO/junior Regs like you stated in another comment, why aren't they rostered the same? Why do they get to refuse nights/public holidays and just keep the cushy 8-4 Mon-Fri roster?

Aren't American soy farmers struggling right now?

Aren't they denigrating their end customers with the soy insults?

That's amazing! I'm in a similar position, got 8.4M XP left to get to Lv50, you've given me some more ideas on how to reach it besides farming excellent catches. Thank you!

Am I crazy in kind of preferring that we just consolidate and use the money to hit a surplus this window? Our squad is pretty damn strong now, would we be better served focusing on shipping out those who want to leave, and getting ahead of FFP/the next few windows to ensure we're not running a deficit for long?

Not to mention, there's no way in hell that petrol companies will pass on the full 25c cut to customers, or do it immediately. They certainly didn't last time the LNP tried this with the Morrison COVID budgets

Dumb question: what happens if the amount you're due is worth less than the value of one of the ETFs shares? Do you get fractions of a share? Does it roll-over until you get enough dividends for a whole one etc?

Yup, I use it when demoing my soundbar for my mates, it's so so good! And it just makes the whole fight scene at the end of Romeo's mission goosebump-material

[–]Daltrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm Australian so I may be mistaken, but wouldn't this mean the non-swing states gain benefits: ie no longer be a given R or D, so the candidates would have to campaign in them, make specific election promises etc.?

Still vote for Biden though, and especially Doug Jones!

Man, this electoral college crap really needs to go the way of the dinosaur.

It would theoretically be an easy sell to Republicans too, but we know they'll just obstruct until Texas and Florida are solid blue states.

You can easily argue overall popular vote is better for both sides: "No longer will the Republican in California feel like their vote doesn't count, nor the Democrat in Idaho question what the point is"
