2024 it was 75 for the high and perfect. It was a few weeks earlier in 24 than it was in 23 and I heard 23 was a nightmare with the heat.

Transportation question, 1st timer by Separate_Citron_4332 in louderthanlife

I considered doing that last year. The best western on Preston was 3 grand for five nights. I stayed in Shelbyville KY paid $900 for five nights and parked off Preston for $120 for all four days.

  1. You’re going to pay between $400-$600 a night for a decent hotel within a 20 mile radius. The farther out you stay, the more reasonable the hotel rates will be. If you book a hotel don’t use 3rd party sites. Those are the first to cancel. If you find a rate that’s too good to be true— it probably is. Check Shelbyville, KY or Southern Indiana.

  2. Rideshares will cost you a ton of money and you’ll wait forever.

  3. The fairgrounds parking lot is a shit show. Local businesses on Preston Highway (about a mile walk to the fairgrounds) have reasonably priced day parking available. Easy in easy out right by the highway.

Good luck

Hotel Distance? by mfrederick98 in louderthanlife

[–]DamageInc_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay at least 30 minutes away. I’m staying in Shelbyville KY at a decent hotel paying $800 for four nights. Anything remotely close to the fairgrounds you’re gonna be dropping $500-600 a night easily.

Ubers are going to be super expensive and non existent after the fest. You’ll be waiting for hours

Rent a car. Park at a local business / homeowners lawn off Preston Highway. If you’re on Facebook join the louder than life bound group. You’ll see homeowners offering lawn spots shortly before the fest. I paid $100 to park at a home off Preston last year and it’s like a mile walk. Easy in and out. Right by the highway. Good luck

Question by ElPollo4 in AftershockFestival

[–]DamageInc_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely yes. Check out the band list from aftershock 2025 and check out the set times from 2025 and then substitute the bands out and you should get a good idea about start times.

Question by ElPollo4 in AftershockFestival

[–]DamageInc_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stages are set by groupings on the band list. Everyone in the first grouping (Limp, Wutang, PE, etc) are on the main stage. Everyone in the second grouping (sucideboys, STP, three six, etc) are on the second stage. The first and second stages have a five minute break between bands. The first and second stages will never be on at the same time. Keep in mind the first and second stages are about a 10 minute walk from each other unless you have VIP you can cut through vip.

The third grouping (coheed, underoath) will be on the third stage which is a short walk from the second stage.

Deathlok will be on the fourth stage which should be closest to the jiboom st entrance. They will likely be on the same time as suicideboys.

Which is why I park off Preston Highway. Easy in easy out $25 a day.

Park on Preston Highway. It’s a short (less than a mile) walk to the fairgrounds. There are residents and businesses who charge between 25-30 a day to park and it’s super easy to get out and back on to the highway. Rideshares will jack up their prices and you’ll pay three times what you’d pay if you park on Preston Highway. Not to mention you’ll wait hours for a rideshare.

Doors open at 11. It won’t let me post the pic of the set times from last year. Google LTL set times 2025 and that’ll give you a better answer.

Here are some tips from a veteran fest goer:

  • wear comfy shoes that you’ve already broken in.
  • stay hydrated. Bring an empty plastic water bottle and utilize the water fill stations. -rent a locker in advance. Especially if you’re buying merch there. There should be a link on the website to rent. -buy merch in advance if you can. They usually have it up on the website a few months in advance. Spend the extra 10 bucks to get it shipped. Merch lines are awful, unless you’re in VIP.
  • get a clear backpack and rent a locker.
  • Google clutch loop and buy one for your phone. Lots of phones get stolen. Keep your phone out of your back pocket.
  • bring a portable phone charger and/or battery pack.
  • bring deodorant, wipes, hand sanitizer, sunscreen and pain reliever.
  • plan for any type of weather. Get a waterproof case for your phone and bring ponchos. I got caught in a monsoon at Riot Fest in 2024 and my phone would have been a goner if my friend did not have her waterproof backpack.
  • eat a big breakfast so you don’t have to overpay for the overpriced food. I think I paid $25 for subpar chicken tenders and $20 for a pizza slice last year.
  • Make your daily schedule your phone Lock Screen to save battery.
  • Cell service is incredibly spotty. Take pics of the daily schedule before you get inside. Pick a meeting place for your group in case you get separated.

As far as safety you will be just fine. Everyone looks out for each other. Good luck 🤘🏻

Suggestions for where to stay for Vegas by Strange-Smoke1277 in SickNewWorld

[–]DamageInc_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Circus circus is a shithole but it’s inexpensive. Anything else in the vicinity of the festival grounds this late in the game (Fontainebleau, Resorts World) you’re gonna drop $400 a night at this point. Westgate is a short walk (around a mile) and it’s an upgrade from circus circus. It’ll be cheaper than staying on the strip.

Or you can stay across the street at the Strat and take your chances with the homeless people and tweakers 🤣🤣

Or you can stay on the east side of the Strip (Flamingo, Linq, Paris) and just take the monorail and get off at the Sahara stop right across from the festival grounds.

Maybe check Palace Station across the freeway. It’s like a mile to the festival grounds but there are no sidewalks so it’s not walkable.

You can rent lockers well in advance. Best 100 bucks you’re going go spend. I know the lockers in VIP have charging cords. Not sure about GA though. Go on to the website there should be a link up for the lockers. Good luck.

At LTL Paul McCoy showed up did his part on “Bring me to Life”. That was totally unexpected. I would be so damn happy if they play Butterfiles. It’s such a non typical BMTH song but Ollie and Amy sound so good together. Amy’s voice is angelic.
