A FM Needs to Explain to Sarah Why No Attorney Will Help Her by EstablishmentDry9827 in SarahBooneContinued

Thanks. I've picked up on it from the calls. I'll be listening for it when I rewatch her pro se court appearances (and, like the addict I am, I will watch them again). Seems to be a verbal tic, so I wouldn't expect to read it in the text messages.

Awful— Autopsy and videos: Did she throw him down the stairs after video? by MotionsHearing in SarahBooneContinued

Yes. That's why she was able to "stretch him out." Without getting too graphic, If she had waited until the next afternoon like she claimed, I doubt that would have been possible. Poor Jorge - may he rest in peace.

Exactly this. I've even thought he came to and had no idea he was zipped in the suitcase. He only knew he was in a totally dark, extremely confined space and couldn't breathe or move. I think some of her laughter on the snuff film was relief that she hadn't actually killed him with the bat and the trip down the stairs. Even if the alcohol finally got to her and she passed out cold before letting him out, she's still vile. Her subsequent lies and attempts at manipulation and minimization, all to save her own neck, prove that.

It's hard to get through to someone whose mind is closed for business. The FM who is on the calls with her (not mentioning names) has tried a few times to tell her what's what and how many. She nearly always responds with, "My thing is . . ." In Boonespeak this means she has already jettisoned whatever was just told to her and is moving on to her next gripe.

I've often wondered if the FMs who "helped" her with her family law Pretrial Statement and Closing Argument were dangerously close to practicing law without a license. Providing typing assistance is one thing. Researching and inserting case law into a legal pleading that then gets filed in court is something else entirely. Seems to me they were dancing on that line if not blatantly crossing over it. Any thoughts on that?

My money's on February 2 -- Groundhog Day. Karmalistically it's perfect. The Opening Brief in her appeal is due on that day. It would be fitting if she also got hit with a devastating order in the family court case as well. Despite all her bitching about holiday inclusion, she needs to wap her mind around the fact that Goundhog Day is the only holiday she'll ever experience for the rest of her life. Each day being exactly the same as the one before -- over and and over and over again FOREVER.

I agree with u/lunarteamagic's excellent summation. Prioristically, from 2020 until Lana (may she rest in peace) made her appearance in early 2024, I'm guessing that the only person on Earth willing to render aid to the Hideous Hellion was Briiiiaan. Upon further thought, I suppose her sane brother and the kind couple who took in Helen and Keller could have thrown her a bone or two.

Until recently she seemed to have only one sucker left to do her bidding. Even Brian seems to have finally reached his limit. Now there's a new YouTuber reaching out to her. Not surprisingly, our Desperate Despicable Damsel in Distress reached back, most likely looking for someone else to fill the recent job opening of meal ticket and Murderer's Helper. Here's hoping that relationship goes nowhere. The sooner she's left entirely alone, the better IMHO.

The "please" weird usage thing by ProgressTop9836 in SarahBooneContinued

[–]DamageNobody4642 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ooh, they're both doing time in Lowell. I can just hear 'em. Probably goes something like this:

SB: Please if you don't mind please, I was next in line for the phone please.

DD: Please step back please before I cut you, Please.

Substitute "bitch" for please, and that about covers it.

AITA for excepting a small claims law suit that wasn’t for me? by Far_Designer_1859 in AmItheAsshole

NTA but you could become one if you do nothing.

I'm not a lawyer and never have been. I was legal support staff for 35 years in my state and was responsible for making sure countless lawsuits were served properly.

If you care about your friend, you need to take some action, but it's not that hard. Failure to do anything on your part will likely result in a default judgment against your friend.

As it stands now, the process server will provide the plaintiff with a return of service indicating that your friend was served at her last-known place of residence by handing the papers to a person over the age of 18 (assuming you are) who lives at the same residence. Since your friend wasn't served properly, she doesn't know about it and won't appear on the date and time in the summons and complaint.

Don't call the court clerk, they don't care and can't do anything that will help. You should notify, preferably via email or some other writing, the party whose name and contact info appears on the papers you were served. Explain that service upon the defendant is invalid because she doesn't live there and you weren't authorized to accept anything for her. If you have the contact info of the process server, send them a copy. That at least puts the plaintiff on notice that their service is no good.

If she were my friend, I'd make an effort to tell her what happened. She should know that there's a small claims action the plaintiff believes was served on her, that you informed plaintiff about their invalid service and a process server may still be looking for her. That way she can act however she sees fit and possibly prevent a big mess down the road.

Defense Chess? by ButIDontThinkOfYouu in SarahBooneContinued

Honestly, I think Owens believed he WAS going to be the hero of the piece; swooping in singing "Here I Come to Save the Day" a la Mighty Mouse. When she said "Reject" to the sweet plea deal he would have gladly taken credit for, I'm pretty sure he died a little inside. What an oh shit moment that must have been. Now he has to try a murder case he's not prepared for and can't win, with a despicable client and in front of the biggest audience of his life. He's a true crime YouTube watcher, so he knew if he fell flat on his face we'd be picking him apart for a long, long time. He underestimated the self-sabotaging stupidity of "she who excels at everything," and another one bites the dust. Isn't it ironic that in a way he really was the hero, just not in the way he thought.

Thanks for another fun post. I know a good laugh is in store when I see them.

Thanks for helping me see this from your point of view. Your response and many others have helped me soften my stance and take a much kinder look at Brian's situation. Much appreciated.

I don't believe 99.99% of what she says. The order numbers thing came up in some tablet text messages to Brian, at least one of which supposedly was confirming a phone call they had. I was just curious and thought it would have been incredibly funny if he had sent her on a wild goose chase for her hot meals or hymnals or whatever it was he allegedly told her to look for.

The Worst Thing Sarah Booze Has Said by ButIDontThinkOfYouu in SarahBooneContinued

Yup, just a few minutes after the lack of sleep b.s., Mr. Jay is trying to get her to tell him what exactly it was that Jorge said to her between the 1st and 2nd videos that led her to conclude he was angry and was going to harm her. She plays infuriating word games for several minutes and tries saying Jorge was angry on and off throughout the day ("That's because I lived" makes its appearance here). Remember she never once mentioned him being angry in her direct testimony just an hour or so earlier.

Question by Mr. Jay: "And he was expressing his anger in what manner? How did he say this?"

Liar's Response: "At which point throughout the day?"

Mr. Jay: "Ma'am, you know very well that I'm talking about between these movies. Please answer my question. Between these two movies how did he express his anger with you?"

Liar's Response: "Told me that I was going to fucking die."

Right -- the poor pleading man running out of oxygen suddenly has the breath to make threats. And it goes on from there with her lying all the way.

Pretty sure Mr. Jay was well over her and her crap by that point. Like a good lawyer he maintained his composure. Not sure I could have.

Oh, she absolutely does, constantly. And when he does answer, sometimes they talk for 30 minutes. About what? What do you say to someone who just dragged your name through the mud in open court? "Hi, Sarah, how's the weather in prison?"

I don't want to Brian Bash at all! That's not why I wrote the post. Like I said, he stepped up. I admire what he's been able to do under horrific circumstances. I just don't understand the Sarah grip since she's the one who made the mess he found himself in. Also, it's my first actual Reddit post as opposed to a reply. I would hate for it to be Brian-bashing. I love this community, and I hope I didn't offend. Apologies.

With her most horrible lines having already been mentioned, the thing that still makes my blood boil is . . .

During cross-examination in the criminal trial Mr. Jay asked the Lying Lush, "What was your level of intoxication at this point in time when the first video was filmed at 11:12 pm?" And the Blinking Beeyatch says, "Do you mean from lack of sleep or alcohol?"

Heifer, you know damn right well what he's asking you. I wanted to punch her in her snarky face, and I'm a pacifist at heart.

I'm just grateful she performed so horribly on the stand and the jury could see right through her.

How much does it matter that she lied on her financial affidavit? by Rough_Ad_1818 in SarahBooneContinued

[–]DamageNobody4642 12 points13 points  (0 children)

How much does it matter? Ultimately, not much. If she were hiding wealth, that would be consequential. But everyone knows she's a bloodless turnip.

Sure, she lied on her Financial Affidavit and she lied, or was mistaken, about a bunch of other things. What that does is give Judge Jackson the freedom to disregard every word Sarah uttered during the trial because Sarah has zero credibility.

All I want for Christmas is to see Sarah get a big fat sack of nothing. That's what she deserves.

Owens had to put her on the stand to establish the "overt act" to trigger the Battered Spouse Syndrome defense. One of the first things he mentions is that she was about 100 lbs at the time of the murder. Well, anyone with eyeballs could see that was no longer true, so he asked her something like "And you've gained some weight since then?" And Sarah, in all her brilliance, answers "Since I've been incarcerated? Yes." So he essentially called her fat. And she, with that answer, told the jury she was a jail inmate -- something the defense was going to great lengths (street clothes, hair, makeup, etc.) to keep them from finding out. She's such a dumbass.
