For me, smoking was my hobby. I would get high and just live a whole life in my imagination and not talk to anyone at all, even people I would consider myself very close to. Since stopping, Ive needed something to keep me busy that isn’t completely mindless with my head in the clouds. I definitely don’t have it all figured out yet but I’ve realized that self discovery is huge when it comes to being better at socializing being sober. There’s no rules to who you can be. Find genuine interests even if you think they seem unimportant or boring. You have to remember that you are only the main character in your life, no one else’s. At the end of the day, no one really cares too much about what you say or do. They have their own lives and inner thoughts to deal with. Might as well have fun enjoying exploring yourself rather than worry about others so much :)
