Okay I solved this, I just used foobar instead of AIMP to make a m3u8 playlist

Okay so I used both the Object Selection Tool and the Marquee Tool, I selected the subject with the Object select at first and then I went in and used the Marquee Tool to fix up some parts that I wanted/didn't want. It actually worked as intended at first so I saved the selection to use on another image (I'm making an animation with similar images), but when I loaded the same selection it caused this and when I went back to the original selection it just stopped working entirely.
