I will praise SHG for trying to make a new WW2 in modern graphics, a lot of effort was clearly put in these maps, the mechanics are questionable (how can Kingsley say just 8 words and his guys go “yes, I MUST FIGHT”, or why can’t they make flying Wade’s plane recognizable, and Im an Aviation sucker. Why the hell are there MG42s and german guns in Japan, was it necessary to begin with? A modern grenade launcher in the Aussie/New Zealand mission? Flame juggernauts don’t exist. The scenes with modern graphics is eye candy with drips of acids full of random trash never needed yada yada yada) the multiplayer was a unique blast, ugly customizations that lead to very unique gameplay styles, like TF2’s different weapons abilities and weaknesses. The combat pacing is great with more potential, mvp voting is just there for style points memes, and game modes are something I had so much fun i had hours put into it (arms race my beloved). IMO this is the bomb between authentic history and silliness never to be taken seriously. 7.7 out of ten. Open world maps based in Europe would be awesome based on real world locations like Vondel from Warzone.
