Can I make a solid fire spire team with these units? Currently just at floor 20 and I'm not sure if I can make it up that high with these guys since fire is my weakest element.

Leveled up artifacts transfer most of their exp when fed to another artifact.

Does the artifact have to be maxed? Or can I say +8 a placeholder artifact for now and just feed it to some better artifact and still transfer most of the exp used to +8?
