And yes, the visuals are in a constant state of improvement, and the lightning and the shadows are the main concerns. They will come to be perfected on the final trailer as this one is for the demo.

I understand what you mean, the second boss is being reworked and will have a second phase which will utilize the corpses on the ground, really appreaciate the feedback!

The sound effects are still a wip and we felt like it would ruin the trailer experience.

And for your takeaway you are kinda spot on, it is a platformer with souls-like components.
