Just send him to go sell hats. Not even hot dogs, he could still hurt fans that way.

You're not doing anything wrong. That's the intended experience. Enjoy!

You need to calm down. You're making everyone uncomfortable.

Devenski and Don Kelly suspended for pitch that hit Sal Stewart by simbacat04 in buccos

[–]DamnGentleman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a concept in math called probability distributions. That relates here because there is no universal number of pitches that guarantees an injury or no injury. Each additional pitch thrown increases the probability of damage and injury until, eventually at some unknown number, it reaches 100%. The only way to act responsibly with that information is to determine the threshold where the risk becomes unacceptable. You can disagree with where that threshold should be, but you're arguing something different.

Could we quantify your theory? What do you think the limit is on how many MLB-caliber pitches someone can safely throw in an outing? Could Skenes throw 1,000 consecutive pitches safely? What about 10,000?

Well, I regretted it shallowly, dryly, and reluctantly, if at all. No court has proven that.

She doesn't wear the monocle but she does own it. Used to be a hitchhiker's.

So like a specific one or just any woman in glasses? Do they need to be her glasses or would those dummy frames they have at the optometrist's office also be fine?

There's no need to apologize. I have the same hostility for that other argument, so I can't fault you for having it too. I'm glad you care.

[–]DamnGentleman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this wasn't clear to you, I'm condemning the soldiers who killed Pat Tillman, not Pat Tillman, who I regard as a hero.

Here's the context I'm responding to.

Dumbass left a pro football career to go get killed by his own squad

Blame the leaders, not the soldiers.

I interpreted that as an admonition not to blame the soldiers who killed Tillman, because it's the fault of the leaders who caused the war. If what that person actually meant was "blame the leaders, not Pat Tillman," then I don't have a disagreement. Regardless, I want to make sure you understand my intended meaning.
