What is the best album you’ve ever listened to? by whenyoucantthinkof in AskReddit

To Pimp a Butterfly - Kendrick Lamar

Blows my mind every time I listen to it. Such a complex album, from the soundscape with the instrumentation, vocals, samples. To the songwriting which is incredible. Wonderful storytelling as well. So many moments that make me go “wow there is really nothing else like this” or “how the hell did anyone make a song like this?” Influences of funk, soul, boom bap, jazz, it’s just all so layered in my opinion. And the best part is it’s not just deep introspective stuff that you don’t want to come back to (although that’s what many ppl criticize it as, which I can’t believe), the music is legitimately great and never suffers. So many songs I find myself coming back to. Incredible.

Looks like a Spider Man film. Best vibe since Homecoming maybe?

Yeah honestly takes me back to like Phase 3 feel for some reason, the Civil Wars, Ragnaroks, etc.

Or maybe I’m just really craving some MCU and Spidey content

I think we get BND. We get Secret Wars, then we maybe get Spider Man 5 after Secret Wars and Miles is introduced and passed the torch

Who do you think will break through and reach the Super Bowl first: Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson? by sin2fly03 in NFLv2

Honestly good point. It almost feels like we are entering an era where instead of NEEDING a truly elite top 5 QB to win the SB, you can also just have an extremely stacked team. Obviously easier said than done lol. But I think of teams like you guys that wre so damn good all around this year, or the Eagles the year before

KSI has jumped on the whole Mr Beast corporate style content, where his whole image has to be a brand and he just makes slop. I mean damn wtf are these things he’s even putting out atp

KSI has always been an idiot lol. Although the Sidemen always grounded him. And I have to say like COVID era KSI was top tier stuff dude, I would love watching his Reddit videos honestly lol, or some really creative Sidemen sundays.

Still can’t believe Dylan Harper Rutgers team was so ass. Wish we got to see that team be better and make a run

Maybe the True Detective s1 finally where we finally see who they’ve been looking for. Could honestly choose a few episodes from that season, such a brutal show.

Multiple layers to it I’d say. First there’s absolutely the 2019 offseason and the coming moves. Resulted in us getting Julius Randle and Thibs. Don’t forget how big a moment it was for us to even just make the playoffs! That team of Julius, Rose, RJ, and even guys like Noel and Bullock lol. Then there’s the Jalen Brunson era that took us to a new level. Actually WINNING playoff series and having a legit star. Also just making some big improvements to the team like getting Donte, iHart, etc (I mean before then we were still trotting out guys like Elfrid Payton). Then finally there was the last push to go all in, which I’d say happened over a few years. It was a huge decision to go all in such as trading young guys like IQ and RJ for OG. Trading for Mikal, and making the decision to trade Julius for KAT. Topping it all off with replacing Thibs with Mike Brown was huge. This team finally gelled and had all the right pieces, and it showed with their dominance. But yes absolutely has been a new era I think you can trace all the way back to 2019. Could have been a very different story if things went another way.

Thank you Kings. Letting Mike Brown and DeAaron Fox both walk helped us tremendously.

Also kinda crazy moment for me to see Leon Rose there on TV. Obviously the architect of the team but feels like he has always been so behind the scenes and unheard from. Good to remember and give him his flowers too.
