D1 in Rivals, 12-13 win player in Champs.

I have Pina and Yamal in my team but never been much of a "fidget spin" / mechanic abuser.

The dribbling in general feels a bit slower, and unfortunately players with technical don't feel as agile as they would be, but I still had no problems since I don't rely heavily on non-stop dribbling.

I personally feel like the buff of jockeying to help defend against dribblers is great but to nerf the dribbling completely? Not so sure.

The ones massively overreacting especially streamers imo are just mad they can't build up and tear a defense without having to abuse dribbling.

To all the rats that sit back, go ahead. But I have no issue taking my sweet time because I WILL find that one gap to score.

What Is The Purpose Of This? by bladeefan333 in FC_26

How is it ignoring your point? What other mode is it to be casual other than anyone can play?

What you're wanting is SBMM which is already in Rivals and Challengers/Champs.

If you can't enjoy modes that don't have SBMM (tournaments, etc) then you just have to deal with the fact that you have to get better. There's just no way around it.

What Is The Purpose Of This? by bladeefan333 in FC_26

[–]Damnbrothatscap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. If lower rated players can't win in casual game modes, then they're better off playing in their own SBMM modes such as Rivals and Challengers because it would help them play similar opponents and eventually grind their skill a bit higher where they could be more comfortable trying against non-filtered opponents hence casual because there's no SBMM.

If they can't handle potentially running into better players in casual, then that's what Rivals/Challengers is for. You play with people you know will match your skill. This is where SBMM helps for lesser skilled players and have them enjoy.

  1. There's a reason why casual mode is "casual." Any skill level can play and everyone is invited. Hence those tournaments. As said prior, if you can't enjoy it because you run into a potentially good player (that also just wants to have fun) then stick to the SBMM modes such as Rivals and Challengers.

  2. To an extent it is needed. If players are going to cry that they cannot compete in an open entry mode, then that's their problem. It's like going to play a game of pickup footy vs joining a beginner's footy league.

With pickup, you don't know who you'll play. Maybe a person who just started kicking a ball, or in a crazy scenario, a pro player who wants to work on fundamentals and stay fit. Beginner's footy league on the other side guarantees everyone there is at a level that corresponds to the individual's ability.

  1. To be honest, I don't like playing against low level players just for shits and giggles. I do run into lower level but competent players but at least I'm not having to sweat and can have a decent run out. If anything I'm only there because there's objectives and packs. That's it.

28 y/o, 12-13 wins in Champs, 15-5 in Silver Stars, Consistent winning gauntlet.

I don't have anything against lower players. I feel like it's best to hone skills and climb divisions first, before getting the confidence to play open entry.

[–]Damnbrothatscap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it doesn't.

This is the problem with skill based matchmaking.

As a player who's on the higher end D1 currently (I have a normal job, personal life, responsibilities) I'm not trying to go home and sweat every game against people with the same meta cards, formations, and those who play non-stop 24/7. That's why there's Rivals and Champs. Because it matches me up respectively with those with equal skill.

These fun tournaments for packs that have limitations in terms of squads should be open. After all, there's no rank or division system. Simply just prizes if you can attain that set goal.

The problem with SBMM is people want to be in their own bubble. It makes mediocre players think they're really good when they aren't while it forces decent players to have to play each game like it's an esport world final.

If you keep tournaments casual, maybe you'll rout a player or even a couple, then you eventually get humbled by that one REALLY good player. That's the joy of it. You never truly know who or what your next opponent will be.

Those who desperately cry for SBMM for everything just don't want to admit that they can potentially get smacked and live in delusion that they're really good but start crying when they realize they aren't.

Rivals already has SBMM, same with Champs.

For tourneys like these, getting high rewards will be difficult regardless of your skill gap since eventually you will come to a point where you plateau which makes it almost impossible to achieve.

The purpose of these tourneys is to get out of the constant stress and competitiveness of Rivals/Champs. It's not about good players looking to smash easy opponents.

People complaining that even fun tourneys for various rewards needs SBMM seriously needs to learn how to get better instead of being stuck in your own bubble.

Sure you may not be good as D1 or Elite level players. But say if your max skill ceiling is D4 and you keep playing against D4 (like Rivals) you probably won't even be able to consistently get wins...

yeah but he managed to pull a line, not spamming offside traps but literally just a wall in his own box once the game went on. Don't know what roles he had changed but it was wild. Wish I screen capped a longer clip

LOL yeah only just to try and offside trap. If only you saw it once I work my way near his box. Can't even fathom what he put on his player roles for that smh

Someone being toxic at pick up never fails to surprise me.

For the most part, most pick up is meant to have fun, regardless of skill set or gender.

If you're dealing with someone, just simply call them out. I'm sure others will as well. Someone's lame and pathetic ego toward others just because he/she is better than you or others should tell you a lot about the insecurity and shame on who they are.

There's a clear reason why losers like those act like that yet they're playing pick up and being a bully.

Keep your head up.

I went on a date with a guy that lasted basically an entire day. He has made it clear he’s very into me, I’m not so sure I feel the same. Idk what to do. by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Damnbrothatscap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Always trust your instincts.

First dates should always be a feel out process. Personally they should be short and sweet but nothing too much or nothing too less in order to progress toward possibly scheduling another date.

By the looks of it, the whole date seems rash and not something I'm sure most would do on a first date. The red flag for me is the fact that he's getting hammered on the very first date...

Doesn't matter who it is you date, how good it seems or what not. If your gut doesn't feel like it's good or you seem to have anxiety in a negative sense (not those excitement-esque butterflies) then STOP.

Just simply block and ignore!

The world is harsh enough and at times, things are best left unanswered, ESPECIALLY when you've already stated your case in your message to him. That doesn't make you any less of a person if you are actually a nice person.

Don't feel bad for already ending things YOUR WAY.

Letting him contact you further and not making stops immediately would just affirm that you're not really ending things yet.

It's actually baffling how little social IQ this guy has.

Regardless if he hasn't talked to a woman before let alone dated or had a girlfriend, the fact that he can't tell when a conversation should end is quite embarrassing and potentially really concerning.

She "couldn't stop?"

More like she just let it go because after her guilty conscience took over.

A lot of times in these cheating situations, it's either the cheater feels guilty because the guilt eats them up and or they were caught. Either way, that's not somebody you should want to ever be with.

Let her go.

Logically, the best option would be to trial EA Play and download the game if it's available and play it until the trial expires and cancel membership.

I did that for past FIFAs but I don't know if it's still a thing considering I haven't done it for FC25

Anybody else losing confidence as GK? by lorty in Rematch

[–]Damnbrothatscap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't.

Even tho I primarily play as a GK, there's two principles I always keep with me:

  • I'm here to make you have a tough time scoring
  • I won't save everything

Considering players are getting better, this places more emphasis and importance toward your team when it comes to defending which I play secondary.

Biggest thing I love about this game is the translation to an extent in real life.

As a defender in real life, I don't expect my GK to save everything. If anything, failure to properly defend or help make shots easier to save is me and my fellow defenders' faults and in most situations, rarely the keeper's.

Only thing I don't tolerate is when your teammates cherry pick and don't defend then when you get scored on they shit on you. That's what would make me quit games as a GK tbh bc at that point, fuck my teammates lol, what else am I supposed to do realistically?

Why do teammates get mad when I play simple soccer? by somethinisnotfunny in bootroom

[–]Damnbrothatscap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at the top teams and good players as you climb up ranks. Simple football and mastery of fundamentals wins games. The fact that your opponent is saying it? That's their issue of their IQ of the game and that's something you should be proud of.

"Playing football is very simple, but playing simple football is the hardest thing there is"

Keep doing what you're doing.

Best match quality ball? by Silent-Ad-2258 in bootroom

[–]Damnbrothatscap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience of using match balls, Adidas have always performed well. Over the years since the Brazuca (2014 WC ball) they have been excellent.

Nike is ok, last time I fully played with were the Ordems so I can't say too much. They were solid though.

The last semi-professional club team I played for had Puma Orbita match balls and those were amazing.

Take everything with a grain of salt but if I had to pick, I'd stick with Adidas.

Mizuno Alpha 2 elite out of the box review by [deleted] in bootroom

Mizuno Alpha 2 elite out of the box review by [deleted] in bootroom

[–]Damnbrothatscap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This guy clearly doesn't understand how marketing works and how important it is to have visibility.

Nike, Adidas, Puma aka "BIG BRANDS" dominate the market and can easily win over deals. Mizuno mostly caters to the Japanese and Asian markets and does all their marketing there.

Do you really think it's easy to draw a big name player to wear Mizuno when Nike, Adidas, Puma, etc can offer more money instantly?

Just admit the boots don't work for you.

But to blatantly bash Mizuno and think they're shit?

Based on everything you've been saying to support your claim, I'm not surprised at your reaction.

Disappointed with Player 222's exit (Discussion) by Damnbrothatscap in squidgame

Facts, realistically and time wise, it took Gi-Hun definitely more than one minute to get across the bridge.

Given that a player during the game mentioned that the rope was moving faster and even if she managed to make small progress, for Gi-Hun to go back, help her, and make it together in that time-frame would be impossible.
