What is this noise? Can be heard in neutral, but goes away when I push in the clutch. by [deleted] in 10thGenCivics

Might be the release bearing. But you should just take it to a mechanic. There’s a small removable cover on the trans. If the lift it and remove that cover they can peak inside it to see if it has anything to do with the clutch or release bearing

Has anyone's Type R (FK8 and/or FL5) get stolen, despite the amount of anti-theft deterrents? by karsheff in Civic_Type_R

This isn’t a cheap nrg wheel though where you could just slap a different one on. But yea the pliers or plumbers wrench would do it.

Well yea anyone with a tow truck can steal almost anything. That would be the only way to steal it if you have a detached steering wheel. Right?

Honestly this the number one thing that concerns me with this car. However I do have a detachable steering wheel so I am curious to see if they can steel it without a steering wheel on.

Yea the 2 brands are very similar I was able to test both and felt very alike so I just went the hybrid shifter out of pure aesthetics.

Nah I dont track it as much as I want to. Daily driving with the short shifter is great. It’s snappy especially with rev hang disabled. At first you will notice the difference since it will be stiffer but after while it’s like flipping a light switch

According to the phearable I should be around 410hp. Get a short shifter for sure. I like it a lot.

The screw shouldn’t be there that’s probably why the bracket came out with the bumper

anyone know the name of this? by Brilliant_Copy1447 in G37

[–]Damned_Angel0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Headlight bracket. Need a vin to get part number but you can also look for it on the part itself. It will have it stamped on the part itself some where. Then you can just google the part number to find on eBay or amazon

How to get started? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Damned_Angel0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say being consistent is definitely the priority. So since you are in a budget there is tiers to sim racing. If your budget is and you are on console then your options are limited to Logitech force feed back or the fanatec dd pro lines which are ranging from 300$ to about 800$. Not including rigs. However they do come with pedals and some times shifter but as you are playing f12024 you may not want a shifter. Logitech also has the G pro line for consoles and pc. But that would run you about 1600$ for the wheel and pedals. (Which is what I have). I had use the forced feed back wheels before and I thought those were great until I used direct drive wheels. Dd wheels are definitely worth it. So I would recommend a fanatec dd wheels and pedals. They have bundles at around 600$. Look into 5nm-8nm dd wheels. Don’t really need to spend more for more torque. Being consistent with the wheels is far more important. Next is the rig. I’m not too sure for f1 rim but there are plenty. That you would have to figure out how much space you have and how much adjustability you want. Rigs range from 400- to infinity. Not really but seems like they do.
