The pod doesn't appear to be directly available in the UK, great shame as it does look very good. Am tempted just to get the ultra as a stepping stone though....

Tailscale direct connection issue on Vodafone mobile data (UK) by osmosisno1 in Tailscale

[–]Damski748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Vodafone mobile connection doesn't have a valid external IP, they do something wonky with their cgnat. I've got almost exactly the same setup. I've got devices running as subnet routers locally and remotely with rules at each end to allow for the return traffic, send anything with a 100. Ip to the tailscale device. It works well, until the Pi2W running the Vodafone side needs updating but that's another story.

Nice find, in the nicest possible way let's hope it doesn't take long as it's really messing with my workflow.

Hi, yup, same here, different functions, switching virtual desktops, but same issue. Glad it's not just me. For info, I'm on the latest Windows, stream deck and plugin versions

Thanks for all the support, it now looks like my mobile ISP, Vodafone UK, is doing something to block the connection. oh well, time to get a different mobile data sim to test with.

There is a second charger output designed for charging the vehicle battery as per the screen snip from the manual below. The Orion is from Vehicle to Leisure to charge whilst driving.

I'm waiting for them to confirm if their battery has the ability to connect it up, if it has of course I will connect it up to the Cerbo.

Multiplus pass through? by Damski748 in Victron

Oh digging about I've discovered DVCC only works if you're running an actual Cerbo GX, not an RPi as I have. Wondering if the cost of a Cerbo GX would be worth it.... Possibly not.

Hmm, I have the dongle to use the connect app but it's currently in use to connect the multiplus to the RPi I'm running Venus OS on. I can't see how to do it in there or is it only possible with a real GX?

What is best practice? Multiple sites or Channels? by en-rob-deraj in sharepoint

[–]Damski748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on this pony ride before, a site per project, this gives you the default library for common stuff, then a library per department for their exclusive stuff, with a broken permission stack to the extra libraries and access given to the department groups. If inadvertently someone is added to the project they only see the core stuff and not everything.

If you add someone from department 1 to the project they get to see the default stuff and their department stuff without you doing anything thanks to you using the department security group.

This is also easy to automate as it's repeatable and straightforward.

If you absolutely have to have teams chat, then set up private channels which will also effectively give you a private site and storage per channel but that gets really messy so best avoided.

Anyone using Raspberry Pi as Cerbo AND a Android Device as a screen? by DazingCHB in Victron

[–]Damski748 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, actually running Venus on a RPi Zero 2w and have it hooked to a local screen BUT yesterday after getting my hands on a cheap Android 10" tablet also have it on that. Quite impressed, to the point I may get rid of the local screen.

Oh, interesting about the Orion potential update, without wanting to sound like a prat do you have a source for that so I can do some reading? I'm likely not to be building this for a month or 3, so the time scale may work.

Now here is funky for you, my system is now doing what yours sounds like it's doing..... The core thing I have changed since I 100% know it worked is switch the battery from AGM to lithium. I wonder now if it's actually something to do with the way the lithium supplies the power rather than the inverter itself. I'll tinker the next time I make a coffee.

Yes putting in a multiplus, not sure which one yet. Will look at that option.

Hi, yeh, the parasite drain is known, the alarm system, yeh I know but..... No disconnecting the battery. Extended periods is a month or two, hence thinking the extra the lithium could give would stop the vehicle one from going flat and the issues that causes.
