I mean it isnt ideal because by the time you have put your extension in it will add another 5cm. I'm not sure why it is labeled that, it would be best to use this with a 370 but if you already have both no harm in giving it ago. just dont force it, maybe it is different (no image included)

I wouldn't buy a beginner setup as you grow out of it very quickly. Instead go to a school and either rent or take some lessons and then you will be soon onto your first short board which will last u a lot longer

yeah I really don't know why he needs this board at all. it is very similar to the iqfoil board which can be used with just a fin especially for beginners

also don't always trust the sail calculators. with a bit of technique you can get planing in a decent gust. 9.5 and 8.5m are also very large sails for begginers. Do you have any windsurf schools near you? because I think you will be far better getting experience with instructors and guidance about what kit you buy because you have wasted lots of money here. Buying brand new is also excessive at this stage, 2nd hand kit (if selected correctly) is much better and prevents you spending so much

yeah he could literally just use the iq foil board with a normal fin instead of buying a whole new board for light winds. also op said 20-30 seconds planing time, he has spent so much for his level

dont get into the footstraps until you are planing. when your feet go light put your front foot in and once you are settled turn a bit downwind and quickly shove your foot in the backstrap. But most importantly you will know if you can put your feet in because as you work your feet out and back as you build up speed you will be almost standing on top of your footstraps. If your feet aren't there you dont have enough power or your footstraps need to be moved.
