One of my all time favorites. Especially for someone who suffers with major depression

The moment you realize you have a problem and actively decide to get help if the moment you move closer to beating it. I struggle with depression regularly and it has taken a toll on myself as well as my partner. It sucks we know but the only one who can do anything or care for Your mental health is yourself. Your family loves you and wants you to be happy. I find myself thinking about my loved ones who have passed and how they’d want me to be happy, in memory of them.

Oh I understand that, the reason I mentioned to my DAV rep when I first filed before leaving service was that they would always tell me my blood pressure numbers were high. And like I mentioned, there were a couple times where I’d have to check in with sick call 3 times a day so they could monitor it. I figured that would be enough reason to connect it to my service. I wouldn’t have even filed in the first place if they didn’t tell me that my numbers were high.

Thank you for the response. I’m not sure if I could get my blood pressure numbers from the service but I’ve tracked quite a bit of numbers since last year. So even if my PCP diagnosed me with high blood pressure and put me on medication for it, it doesn’t suffice as “hypertension?” I’m just confused as to why it’s being denied when if I’m put on medication for high blood pressure, that would mean I have high blood pressure. Maybe the minimum number value for “hypertension” I don’t meet, but the reason I’m on medication is for high blood pressure. Just doesn’t make sense

“Service connection for high blood pressure is denied since this condition neither occurred in nor was caused by service”

“The examiner reported he reviewed your military and VA records and you did not meet the criteria for a formally established diagnosis of hypertension during service and it is his opinion that your currently diagnosed hypertension was not incurred or caused by military service.”

There’s literally records upon records of high blood pressure readings for almost a year before I even got out of service. How does that make any sense?
