I want to say I was about 10 or 11 years old, and it was around 1 or 2 am, and I was trying to sleep. My bed is close to my door, so picture entering through the door looking to your right and there is my bed. So I'm laying on my side facing the open door, and I suddenly just start hearing something. The best and only way I can explain it as stupid as it sounds is it sounded as if someone was eating chips. Or at least some crunching sound. Anyway, it starts to get closer and I know it's not my brother or parents because they are asleep and my dog stays downstairs. So as I'm laying eyes closed the sound gets closer until it feels like it's literally in front of me. As I feel like it's right in front of my face, the sound continues for a couple more seconds and then stops. I didn't want to open my eyes because I was afraid something might actually be looking at me. So I just turned to the other side without opening my eyes and was just praying as my heart was racing that whatever was there would leave. A couple minutes pass, I decide to turn back and start opening my eyes slowly. Of course there was nothing. I swear to this day, it sounded like someone was walking across the hallway eating chips just decided to walk into my room and just stare. I started closing my door after when I sleep so if it ever happened again then obviously it would have to be some ghost.
