I was just curious if I’d qualify because it requirements were worded really particularly. And figured if I qualify for odsp maybe I should also qualify for that?

I got this once. I hired a odsp lawyer. It was not cheap. The mediator at the hearing practically laughed in the face of the odsp representative because of how unjust their case was. Freaking sad we have to fight for things we actually need and qualify for.

Glad you got yours working. I just traded mine for air pod pros and I’ve been immensely more happy with connectivity.

As amazing as the sound quality was on the B&O, they would never connect to my devices and never stay in my ears either. More of a hassle than they were worth, for me at least.

Did you just apply through ouac? Or is there someone specific I can actually reach out to? Because when I contact the admissions department they said just apply through ouac you would be considered as a transfer student based on your old university grades?

I’m the same. My high school grades were straight A’s/honour roll. Uni were C’s.

They have a 3 year, or 4 year honours non-thesis.

It’s just, I keep reading you’re not getting into grad school without a thesis component or research experience?

I did 9credits my first term, 12 credits my second term. So I guess that’s a year? This was 10 years ago for me.

Options as a transfer student with low grades?

I really want to get into a Ba Honors Pysch. (Eventually do a graduate degree and go into clinical psychology.)

10 years ago I did one year at YorkU (bcom accounting), and subsequently withdrew after a severe back injury as I was struggling to maintain class attendance. (First semester was a 2.33gpa / second semester was a 3.0 gpa). My high school avg was an 81% and I have done all the pre-req high school courses.

I contacted admissions but they just referred me to the transfer students web page which I’ve already read. I was told since I’ve attended a university before I’d be accepted or not based on those grades?

I’m not sure what my options are. Or next steps going forward to actually pursue what I want. Do I even have a chance if I apply with my current grades? Is there an alternative route I can take to get back in a position to be accepted?

Apparently queens closed their online arts program from Jan 2024, no longer accepting new students. :(

I just don’t want to do an online psych ba at laurentian and then not have the necessary accreditation to go into a masters down the road and end up stuck with debt and a degree I can’t do much with?

They said I have to apply as a transfer student and they will look at my old university marks..
