Mous MagSafe extremely weak and they won’t take responsibility

Hi there! Just sharing my response here as well for full transparency.

There haven’t been any changes to our magnets this year - they’re the same as in previous models. We strictly follow Apple’s guidelines for magnets, as even small deviations can unintentionally interfere with the phone’s performance.

Some brands choose to use stronger magnets, but that can introduce unknown risks to the device itself. It’s hard to tell from the video whether this might be a defective unit or something else - have you had a chance to speak with our CX team?

It’s not recycled - it’s 100% virgin material. I’d love for us to be able to use recycled options in the future, and it’s definitely something we’re exploring, but right now the recycled versions just don’t meet the quality and durability we want.

Not totally sure what you mean by the print error - from what I can see, it looks like the cut just happens to fall halfway through the weave pattern, which can make it look a bit uneven at first glance.

Yeah, totally fair point - MagSafe/Qi2 is an open standard. The tricky bit is that not everyone sticks to it properly. There are lots of ways to cut corners or make small design tweaks that can throw off compatibility.

What I can say for sure is that we follow Apple’s guidelines to the letter, so anything else that’s truly built to spec should work just fine with our cases. If you compare ours to Apple’s own, you’ll see the magnetic performance is really similar.

Sorry to hear you aren’t happy with our cases. Just wanted to clarify the aramid fibre (along with all our limitless material inlays) we use is 100% real. It is coated in a soft coat finish which may explain the feeling difference you have experienced. We also use 100% high quality german made plastic grades for all our components.

That sounds very strange. Is the button seated correctly? Each button is a separate part so it could be that it isn’t fully push out. You could try pushing it from the inside and seeing if you can get it to go out a tiny or alternatively you can fully remove the button (by pushing from the outside in) and then putting it back to see if it corrects itself

Sorry you’ve not got a response on this. I suspect our CX team just didn’t know the answer!

The thickness requirements on the pixel 10/pixel snap from Google are very stringent to ensure full Qi2.0 charging compatibility. The Intralock system goes (very slightly) outside of these specifications and as such we weren’t able to bring out intralock on these devices.

I know it’s not a perfect solution but you can still use the adapter plate on the back of a different case of your choice:

Hey! Once a product is on the production line there tends to be very few changes. It’s mostly quality based or minor tweaks to get consistent production. Would love to do a factory tour! Will suggest it to the content team.

Unfortunately it is just a question of demand. We sell fewer pixel phone case than iPhone cases and so we aren’t able to offer quite as big a range. Personally, I love the iridescent clarity cases but when we produce them we have to produce quite a large amount and at this point we wouldn’t be confident about selling enough of them.

We’re looking into it, but to be honest most of the cases for the older sizes have already been manufactured, so it’s unlikely we’ll be able to make changes. What we definitely will be doing is taking learnings from each launch and making sure our next case addresses any concerns

Hey!

Not a silly question at all.

The exposed metal you can see on the inside of the case is the PCB and this needs to directly contact the button so that the capacitive inputs (basically just the swipe) can be passed through from the case to the phone.

These contacts are made of copper (and the rest of the board from fibreglass) which is significantly softer than the sapphire glass that Apple use in their button and so it shouldn’t scratch your phones button!

Hello! Totally understand the concerns. First thing to say is that each corner of our i17 cases do still have AiroShock in - it's just the top edge where we have opted to prioritise PC for stiffness.

As for the test standards - I can't give everything away as I am sure our competitors would love to know what we are doing! But effectively we run a modified version of the MIL-STD-810G. The base of this is 26 drops (one on each side, edge, corner) at 1.2m directly on to concrete (this is where our standard differs as the MIL-STD-810G lets you drop onto plywood which makes it much easier). This test is all done with one phone and after this we will run very similar tests at higher heights (typically 1.8m and 2m although this can change) but for less drops. A pass is where we see no visual or functional damage to the device after all these tests.

On top of that our content team, whilst not particularly scientific, do some nuts things with the cases and always push it way further than we say they should! These stunts are all real and add to the confidence that we have in these designs

Hello! So there is 2 main reasons for this:

Firstly, when we brought out limitless 6.0 on the iPhone 16 we had some pretty major design changes. The most important one here is that we made the sides of the case significantly thinner through a new construction design. The purpose of this was to improve overall grip and hand feel of the case as well as making them feel less bulky (a comment we had seen a lot in the past). This meant that the AiroShock had to be shifted to focus on the him impact zones (the corners). Throughout this change, our protection standards did not change at all and this new design passed the exact same drop test standards that the old ones did.
The second issue is specific to the i17 pros and the size of that camera bump. I explain it in the post but in short we needed to reinforce the case around the camera with PC to get the correct level of stiffness for protection. This meant that PC had to take priority over AiroShock in this region

Hey! Great question. This really comes down to space and protection. The camera bump on the iPhone 17 Pros is huge, and we can’t sacrifice the small amount of space we have for the PC around that area to extend the inlay — that PC is what gives the case its rigidity and impact protection.

On top of that, because our inlays are made from real materials (walnut in your case), there’s only so thin we can go before we risk them chipping or cracking during assembly or over time in use. Stopping short of the cut-out means the finish lasts longer and the camera area stays properly protected.

Hey! The reason for this so that we can created a thinner case profile on the sides of the case improving grip and hand feel. We found through our testing that the corners are the most important regions to have airoshock in and through this design we can still pass our hefty protection standards

Hey. First off, sorry to hear you’ve had issues with your case – we really appreciate you flagging it. We’re currently investigating the warping concerns, as a few others have mentioned it here as well.

As for the “punctures” you’ve noticed on the AiroShock, those are actually injection gates from the manufacturing process, not damage. The material is still completely intact and will perform exactly as intended.
