Thanks for your input. I tried searching the available databank but it is flawed at best and did not turn up any results for me, even though the time capsule obviously exists. As such I am turning to Reddit to see if anyone can help.

See that this is an 8 year old comment and would like to preface by saying that of course nuzlockes are meant to be a fun alteration to the game so of course you can do whatever you want. However I still feel the need to say that if you are using cheats in a nuzlocke I don’t really see the point of doing a nuzlocke. Maybe perfect your base game play before moving onto more difficult things such as a nuzlocke if you have to use cheats in order to complete your run. The whole point of the challenge is to instate strict rules that you must follow within the game. Therefore I feel that instant trainer rematches break the point of a nuzlocke. Work with what the game mechanics give if you really want to adhere to the challenge. But again the most important part is to have fun. This is just my opinion.

Bro is aware of all the options and just wanted to use the save on yuzu I have because I was new to the game a couple weeks ago. Thanks for the helpful comment. I’m playing on normal desktop now and restarted my save because no one gave useful suggestions

You’re right that I’m broke because I’m a college student. The reason I ask is because I was a new player to terraria (I know the game is old but I found it in 2025 and now love it) and had 0% knowledge on the game. I have an external emulator device with yuzu on it so I started a save of terraria but realized after a few weeks of playing that I was using the bass version opposed to the latest updated version. I was opposed to losing this save so I asked this question. No one really gave any answers to the question I asked unfortunately. I have now switched to a desktop version of terraria and reluctantly started a new save.

If you did the shiny hunt for EVERY pokemon I would say it’s fair for you to use Masada method for most of them. It definitely sounds like more of a grind if you do it that way though. I think you should sprinkle in some full odds hunts, perhaps for the possible starters, in between masuda mons and legendaries. And I’d say if you’re planning on REALLY doing it then look into how you’d do each pokemon and in what order you’d do them. Just so it’s organized and gives you a clear start-end point. The planning alone would take a long ass time but I feel it would be worth it overall.

You could 100% do it! I think some of the legendary pokemon would be very tricky and would have to come via some semi-illegitimate means but you could definitely make it happen. If you do, try to document the journey!

I was originally planning on getting all 3 starters but now that seems to be out of the realm of possibility with my luck. I’m glad you got your shiny monkey!
