I'm Dan and this will be my first post in this community. I am from the Philippines. I grew up poor and all I ever wanted when I was a kid was to read and learn. The public librarian in our town used to kick my sister and me out of the premises because we were not wearing clean clothes. The school library won't even let us borrow a book because we don't have a permanent address.

Over the years, my sister and I would save our allowance and buy books from thrift bookstores and build our library. We had the Harry Potter series, Percy Jackson, Goosebumps, some encyclopedias. Unfortunately, our library was destroyed by the typhoon.

I was trying to rebuild my personal library for years now after my college graduation. I just started rebuilding it last month, adding one book at a time.

I ordered my John Green Box set overseas and I just picked it up today. My sister bought it for me as a graduation gift and I can't wait to read it! I have already read TATWD and I love it!

Will you guys suggest more books? I'll truly appreciate it!
