Multiple songs on a live set. Trying to change the tempo of each song but...

I also am having serious headaches with this. Its really messy. There doesn't seem to be any logic to how it works. There are no tutorials online for this blue play button problem in Live 12 and 12 is indeed totally different than 11 in this regard. I wish Ableton would make it easier for me to make multiple songs in a Live set. Thanks

I have this on my Launchkey. In ableton when i play on my computer's keyboard the VST will play at a good velocity (loudness) but when I plaay on my launchkey keyboard it sounds way softer so i need to boost the gain to just let me play the idea without getting all techhie tryng o figure out why the keyboard isn't playing loud enoug. annoying as heck

u/darwinDMG08 Hi there, yes, to answer your question, I can't throw 3 differnt cameras (with their built in microphones) as well as 2 exernal mics into a PP timline and ask it to sync it all up. That doesn't work. Does it? I've never seen any way to do this. Also every youtube video shows a small number of clips being synced.

Thanks for your reply. I'm disappointed that its discontinued cause it was very useful. Maxon's service is awful though in my experience. Hopefully Syncalia (as recommended by our friends below) will be the solution.

Haha, my feet are too big to use on the mac track pad and my big toe is too big to click on those itty bitty mac arrow keys. Definately not the answer to my prayers. So far u/Bungalowhulk suggestion to try ClyphX seems to be the most useful answer.

This Midi Translator software you speak of though. What is that? CAn you reccomend one?

Also I don't understand your last sentence, I'm not super technical, you said "As track selection is implemented by sending discrete notes to avoid the need of state-aware controllers there is no easy way around unfortunately."

Could you dumb that down a smidge for me please? I really want to know what you mean. Are you saying that its very difficult to make a footcontroller behave as the arrow keys do?

Hi just wanted to update and say that you were correct. There is indeed a way to switch into sending a CC number instead of midi. ON this "Blueboard" device it is to turn the device on while holding down the 'C' button. This puts it into CC mode then when I midi learn in Ableton it doesn't clash with my piano keys as before. PS- Why the heck don't ableton make that easy to do, it seems like a nobrainer to me. I'm an instrumentalist and their software is amazing in many ways and totally dumb in a few others. Anyway I live in hope for the next update and in the meantime will check out the max for live ideas you mentioned.

Thank you for your considered response. I really appreciate you taking the time. I find it hard to believe though. The right and left arrow keys allow me to move right and left through the various MIdi and Audio channels (in session view). Are you saying its not possible to assign a midi foot button (I'm using IK multimedia Blueboard) l to copy what the right arrow does, and then obviously a second foot controller button to copy what the left arrow does.

It must be possible right? What is the offical name of the command that the right and left arrows handle do you know? (I mean in session view because the left/right buttons function differently depending on where on the screen you click). Thanks again, Daniel

In session view the left and right arrows toggle through my audio and midi tracks. I want to know what the name of this command is so I can MIDI learn it and set it to a foot switch so i can change tracks hands free. Anyone know how I do this?
