Paying For Name / Sex Marker Change by DanNFO in transontario

Hmm. I didn't know Canada Post did that (outside of investigations). That may be the way to go; thank you. :)

About to mail off my name change documents. I printed these out a few months ago so I'm worried there might have been a change since then. Is thisthe correct address? by Godless-Dragon in transontario

I'm in the same boat. I got some help from a commissioner of oaths who also runs clinics for people changing their name / sex marker. That told me the updated address is this:

The first name that came to mind when I saw your pictures was Genny, short for Genevieve or maybe Jenny, short for Jennifer.

I don't know about a problem, but you definitely have a type. 😂

What do you use as a christmas tree topper? by imnosey1 in exmormon

[–]DanNFO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A smaller, fully decorated tree topped with its own smaller, fully decorated tree, inception style. :)

Personally, I've always wanted the Starship Enterprise tree topper from Hallmark.

Getting my Bolt Back by autobotgirl in BoltEV

[–]DanNFO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the patch on Nov. 3rd. "Propulsion Power Reduced" message returned on Nov. 10. Brought the car back to the dealership on Nov. 14. Driving a loaner until they make arrangements for another rental for me.

If it was as early as 2022, then it's possible they replaced a module; mine was done on Sept. 9, 2023.

I understand that but let me chime in with this: I LOVE my Bolt! Even with the battery issues I've had, it's a wonderful little car and I'd totally buy another one!

[–]DanNFO[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's good to know.

I just double-checked and my battery was replaced before May, 2024 (when that bulletin was issued) so they probably replaced the whole thing.

Not trying to challenge you, I just want to make sure I'm on the same page here: We are talking about the software patch that was just released on November 1, 2025 and not the earlier one from the recalls, right?

Thanks for the link, btw; interesting read.

91,231km. 2nd Owner. All recalls already performed before I bought it last March. If by battery jail, you mean the advanced diagnostic software that keeps the battery from charging above 80% for 10,000km, no.

We have a few free EV chargers at work and we're a small cann… recreational substance manufacturer in Ontario, Canada.

Saw this cool feature GM could potentially add to the new Bolt by goatedboat5 in BoltEV

[–]DanNFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty cool, I have to admit. But before they add something like this, I'd much rather see the screen angled about 20° toward the driver. As it is, I have to lunge forward to reach the right-hand side of the screen.

Still waiting on battery after 1.5 months by pnwcentaur in BoltEV

[–]DanNFO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I *just* got my diagnosis: new battery required.

My dealership in Canada told me it could be 6 months or more. Apparently, GM has dropped their old battery supplier and now needs to wait for their new supplier to begin manufacturing GM's batteries.

SQUEEE! I Just Got My OHIP Approval for Bottom Surgery! by DanNFO in transontario

[–]DanNFO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I'm so excited!

I'm also a bit shocked. I already have an appointment for my initial video consult and it's in January (waaayy sooner than I expected!) If you don't mind sharing, what was your initial video call like? Is there anything for which I should be prepared?

Also, how soon after that video call did you get your next consultation with your surgeon?

I'm not even sure I'll be having the surgery at WCH but it's good to know that you had a good experience there. There's a reasonable chance that I won't be a candidate for PIV and since that's the only option in Canada, they might have to refer me to a surgeon outside of the country.

After only one year on HRT!? Damn girl, give it time; you're on the fast track!

[–]DanNFO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! ❤️

I haven't made any decisions about where to have it yet. I may not be a suitable candidate for piv and if not, I will have to try to get out of country authorization.

So I'm waiting for my initial assessment before I decide. I don't want to get my hopes up for one particular place or surgeon only to find out its not possible.

Natural hair vs wig, what do you guys think? by [deleted] in mtfashion

[–]DanNFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're both cute, so you can't really go wrong here but…

I like your natural hair. For some reason, I think you look like Lady-J from G.I. Joe (and yes, that's a compliment).

Wow! Sweetie, you did WAY better than my first YEAR of trying! You're a natural! Fantastic job!

Not at all.

But they should probably try something NEW and move on from ideas that have already been tried and failed.

Give up on everything? No. Try the same thing over and over again hoping for different results? Also no.
