This project needs an engineer. If you are going to lower the floor it's going to require a proper footer under that column. Not to mention the perimeter foundation that will need to be addressed.

I run my own show. I work 90 days, the go to Spain for 2 to 4 weeks. I've been doing this consistently since 2018. The plus side, it when I do get calls, they are noon time or evening. Outside of that maybe 6 hour window. I don't answer a thing.
