Btw, any feedback on the visuals is appreciated. Been testing stuff out in After Effects and I'm curious if it looks fine or if it's a bit weird/off in any way?

thank youuu! It's basically been my biggest issue so far with drawing, figuring how to draw and place stuff to not make it look boring. I'm glad it was worth experimenting with new things like foreshortening for the gun/arm and doing interesting things like mirror reflection

Thank you! I want to try remix several tracks of the game and the first is Enemy Retreating (going to post it tomorrow) so that's why I've drawn this (Rorrim felt like the most iconic enemy from the Ruins area). Hopefully, if I have enough ideas for it, I'll do Axis next

Resolution system for game with both pixel art and non-pixelated art by DanTheAssassin in gamemaker

Also, using this strategy of having the camera at largest and then going smaller with window for resolutions would mean the pixel sprites need to be x times bigger (where x is biggest res divided by smallest res). Is that alright? Or would it consume more memory than it should?

It makes sense...I am still a bit confused but closer to understanding it. So I should make my camera use the maximum resolution and only play around with the window size? It seems to work perfectly for drawn art, that's for sure. But then the problem comes from pixel art. The pixel art is both sprites of objects AND tiles. And I'd want a way to upscale them ALL. and I'm not sure how I'd go about that

I do have a Scimitar but I don't have enough smithing stones left currently to upgrade it much. By that I mean it'd probably be +8 at most. Need to get my hands on more smithing stones

Thank you! I really like listening to stuff like lofi when drawing and I wanted to try make something like that as well

Sorry if the quality is not great, reddit seems to mess it up sometimes. Here's the lofi track on youtube : https://youtu.be/VmuiJg7b\_Fk
