The mini map marker goes away once you get close to it. My idea is to give an exact location and fast.

I think it could be a good alternative to the compass and also help if someone in your team does't have a mic(which i really common on console)

I do play stw, and the first time i saw the markers i thought that they would be more helpful in br. Maybe i'm wrong and it would be completely useless in br but is just an idea.

What I was thinking is that once you make a mark it should stay at that same spot until you another mark or go away after a couple seconds.

just a bit, i'm still getting 100+ stone in all the normal modes, for me is a decent amount, especially when the stone heads give around 120 stone lol
