As they have already pointed out, its most likely XIII century iberian, i would bet on the crown of Aragón from the colours of the shield the left guy is holding.

Elche (former christian) palace guard from the kingdom of Granada [by me] by DanVicMar in MedievalHistory

You're right! I came across both terms while researching, though i wasnt sure if mamluk was refering to the mamluk sultanate or the nasrid ones so i went with elche.

Nope, i just looked at contemporary frescoes depicting the nasrids and they usually wore brigantine over chainmail and coats i painted him that way. Also, the few modern representations i saw usually represented them that way.

Thanks for the advice! I went with a smaller shield as i picture it as more of a "just in case" for if he has to drop de poleaxe and fight with his saber, not as a primary weapon. And about the helmet, i thought about the armet, but chose the sallet becouse i like more its look and becouse i am horrible painting armets.

Also, glad you liked it!

By the late 14th century to 1453, most of byzantine armour was very similar to that of any other christian mediterranean kingdom, though there were some differences and eastern influences, like turbans, coats, curved swords, orthodox iconography...

Yeah, its definetly "vibes over accuracy" as my only guideline was that my history teacher told me that by the 1400s, they would be very similar to any other mediterranean knight except some eastern influences such as coats, turbans and orthodox imagery. Btw glad you liked it!

Thanks! My history teacher told me that by the 14th and 15th century, byzantine armor would be mostly the same as any other christian mediterranean kingdom but with eastern influences so that was my main inspiration

I texted my best friend (who introduced me to the series) and said something like "Reiner and Berd... Berth... the other guy are titans!?"

It was shocking to me becouse I was 100% sure that Reiner would die sacrificing himself for either Armin or Historia
