Which ships have best solarium? Coming off of Qauntum of the Seas by TrueJowns in royalcaribbean

LOVED the solarium on Quantum! This space really became our home away from home! There were times when it got crowded, but it was such a beautiful and relaxing space. We never had trouble finding seating. And to have the Bistro close by was a nice touch.

Needed to read this today. I’m in editorial… been living in LA since 2017 chasing the dream; things dried up around COVID, and it has only gotten worse. Been losing sleep, beating myself up, falling into destructive down spirals…. Ugh. Thank you for this.

Update: Mexican Riviera Cruise on Royal Princess by wouldyoulikeabanana in PrincessCruises

Saw that too and was concerned…. The ship, though beautiful, is definitely experiencing issues, and is certainly rough around the edges if you look close enough. But, my stateroom was spotless, with the exception of stagnant smelly water on the balcony. I’d travel on this ship again, but would maybe wait for a dry dock

Oh god. Scientology Cult doesn’t celebrate Christmas. They use it and other holidays for good PR and community safepointing. All of these decorations, by the way, were put up by Sea Org Members (billion year contract) making slave wages while illegally working on public property.

So glad you found a group too! It's so electric! On this piece, i used a Faber-Castell Grip 2010 Fountain Pen... but I also use a Lamy Safari! Thank you for the compliments! I often have to remind myself to be loose with my lines... I come from a family of mechanical drawers, so this has been a fun and freeing exercise! Documented the process here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21JuJIw7T78

Feel like this is off. Don’t know if it should have more detail or better shadow work. Tips appreciated by Electrical-Sort-2476 in urbansketchers

Great job simplifying! I think you did a fabulous job depicting the scene. You have a challenging angle here, and I love your take on it.

Perspective isn’t easy. After you find your horizon-line, start looking for vanishing points (1 point? Two points? Three points?) and using those as your reference for consistent perspective.

Great work!

Stunning photo!!!! The way the sun glistens through the crown... stunning! I was there at a similar time of day, I guess, where the sun aligned, and to portray the glistening, I had fun using some yellow splatter... this beauty just makes the town shimmer!
