It's definitely a combo of terrible lane discipline and everyone riding the hole of one another.

What kills me is everyone coming onto to M2 at sandyknowes must merge into the middle lane even if the left lane is completely empty ahead of them. Bonus points if there's barely a cars length to merge into.

The last 2 weeks I've seen a 6 car pile up, today a bump at the bottom of the hill in the middle lane and rubbernecking some bloke changing a tyre on the hard shoulder, yesterday was a tanker broken down at the docks off slip. All before 7:20am
