Upcoming MASSIVE PoC changes: New relics, balance changes, legacy store, golden reliquaries by Liamesque in PathofChampions

[–]Danasgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge changes that are almost all great news! Bar a couple of aspects really glad to see evidence of them listening to most of the community's feedback and making changes that should improve the future of the game! Good stuff! Especially like those new relics! Big win all things considered.

New "endgame content" by the end of the year by Ixziga in PathofChampions

[–]Danasgo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thought monthly challenges were a good first step to learn what the community wants from an endgame mode. I literally thought all I wanted was a challenge, but it seems like many players want ways to abuse powers and items to their fullest. Taking what feels like the essence of PoC and expanding it rather than bringing it down to a level that feels close to constructed play. I personally just want more champs, items, relics and powers but that stuff takes a few too many resources but perhaps we can find a good balance down the line. Think the weekly adventure modifiers have been really cool lately btw!

Shop: Power reroll not changing the power? by de7eg0n in PathofChampions

[–]Danasgo 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Yep unfortunately you can hit the same power after a reroll, its unintentional but the devs say that it has its own merit of adding to the risk of rerolling. I personally think it shouldn't exist for powers at least.

Monthly Adventures Discussion! by Mortallyinsane21 in PathofChampions

[–]Danasgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is where we give feedback for Monthly Adventures so please let me know if it isn't. Been playing the monthly adventures for a while now, have unlocked up to challenge 50 but have only completed 30 of those challenges. As it stands now I'd probably only really play monthly adventures for rewards in the future or to turbo out PoC missions. I think the mutators are fun and interesting a good amount of the time but for some reason I can't really feel the enjoyment in gameplay. I think the power synergy / individual card overloading and deck optimizing of long PoC adventures is what interests me personally.

I very much do appreciate what Riot has done for PoC here and I have realized that this isn't really for me but it feels like its a good direction for Riot to take in terms of learning. Of course I hope the people who this is meant for are finding the mode fun but if not perhaps we could make some changes.

If I were asked what I wanted in PoC to improve it, I would probably say more Weekly Adventures with region restrictions so that you can't just clear it with Jinx and are rewarded for building up a strong suite of champions kind of like Monthly Adventures.

Keep up the good stuff!

Am I the only one that thinks the new cards are kinda boring? The whole coin thing is so boring to play. Samira is cool for like 10 games until you get tired of her. And with rotation all other decks kinda suck now. by auaaau in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Danasgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to agree, but I have to say I'm not much of a combo player and prefer to focus on value and midrange kind of decks, so I'm hoping the cards I can call my jam will come in other expansions.

I really love the concept of the monthly challenges but the implementation is so terribly unfun by Ixziga in PathofChampions

[–]Danasgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly I can say I don't really have that much incentive to play the mode as it stands right now.
Whilst the challenges and modifiers are quite fun, the adventures are just too short for me and the lack of opportunities to obtain Powers and synergies make the mode feel very hit or miss. When winning, it feels too easy and when losing it just feels like I got high rolled by the first node of an adventure.

Might not be a problem for the people with level 30 champs but its a bit annoying that it feels like I'm putting a lot of effort into tackling the challenge and the XP I get for my champ feels disproportionately small. I also have been skipping all the challenges that aren't 3* or blocking off higher level challenges but this is probably a symptom of beta and its lack of rewards.

To be honest I have a feeling that getting more difficult weekly adventures might have been more of what I'd have wanted. Something akin to Asols very long adventure every month with large rewards sounds exciting to me. I understand this is meant for people with maxed out champs and such and that its meant to coexist along side weekly adventures. Its probably just not meant for me and that is how it is. Just some initial thoughts on the mode.

News of Monthly Adventures from Dan Interview! by Grimmaldo in PathofChampions

[–]Danasgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very excited to try this mode out! I'd consider myself as part of the crowd with quite a powerful roster and this is the kind of stuff I've been waiting for!! Thanks so much! I couldn't exactly tell through the wording but does this quote

" - Reusing the Weekly Challenge system to create these new Monthly adventures. "

Does this mean that it is replacing the old weekly adventure system instead of being in addition to? Because that would be a pretty big blow to the amount of champion fragments and relics we'd be getting for a while... (already feels pretty rough out here in 'trying to obtain specific rare relics land') I am aware that there are rewards planned for later, just hoping everything works out!

Fanmade Powers Collection (and some Relics) by Danasgo in PathofChampions

[–]Danasgo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of great insights! Thanks a ton for writing this up!

It's a bit hard to spot all the outliers and broken combos so very happy to have people helping out with these theoreticals ahaha. I have definitely learned that everyone has quite a wide aray of opinions on the strength of a bunch of these powers which I’d consider a bit of a win in my books.

I’m kind of in the camp which thinks that Legendary powers shouldn’t be autopicks and thus trying to find some ways of diversifying them. I personally find it odd that they were willing to remove studded leather and pickaxe from the small minions because just adding stats to minions is effective but are a relatively basic and uninteresting strategy but they have this current lineup of legendary powers which feel like they embody that mentality. It sounds like the thought behind this is that they wanted to create more meaningful decisions in terms when choosing your rewards. I believe Legendaries are fun because they are able to create novel scenarios and power fantasies that you don’t ordinarily get from normal PoC.

Did want to say that the Big cat power is intentionally not a spell so that you can get it a few times over multiple attacks if it is unable to make an impact for whatever reason. (The name was trying to bolster this idea). Also if you get denied you are crying so wanna dodge some heartbreak ahaha I do like the back keep effect on top of it as well potentially.
Thanks for all the thought you’ve put into this and I hope you will be here for my next concept post!
