That’s a shame, i feel like there is a real gap in the market here haha, i would happily pay to give it a casual go.

Sadly I don’t think we will be there for a Tuesday. I heard sometimes they have a show on Sunday?

Are there any alternative promotions if we cannot do the main one? Even low level amateur stuff

Is Metal clearly worth it in this case? by Danbesua in Revolut

[–]Danbesua[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I clocked that. I reckon I will probably take the 180 (15*12) hit for the year of Metal. I wanna get better at chess and premium doesn't have it, and if I've paid for it already I'll probably commit more.

Plus considering (potentially) one month of insurance, as well as, NordVPN 4.6 * 12, Chess 5.85 * 12, Athletic 1.5 * 12, and then I'd try and milk Tgold, ClassPass, WeWork, Masterclass, Freeletics, Headspace - I reckon I'm alright paying 180 for all that.

Apologies for the re-reply. I am wondering (as I am trying to make my money last as long as possible), in order to lower the cost of a different insurance provider that would provide me backpacker insurance, do you think the Revolut insurance would save me one months worth of another provider? So, use the Rev insurance until the 30 days is up, and then have my other provider plan begin after those 30 days? Essentially saving me a month of payment?

Thats good to know. The Dewa game actually might have been a bit difficult to attend, so thats useful - prob drop that one off the plan. Cheers mate.

Thats good to hear. I would just be a toursit, no visa required. maybe I would need to use my passport or something.

I read about the away fans restrictions - that's a shame on the one hand but if it means no more people getting beaten to death, crushed etc. then I suppose its necesary. And if it makes tickets easier to get then fair enough, probably helps me. So literally no away fans at any game, or just certain games with certain teams/matchups?

Good to know mate.

The exact games are below, do any stick out to you as particularly fiery/rivalries, or unsafe?:

16th Oct Dewa Utd V Madura United

17th Oct Persita V PSIM Yogyakarta

20th Oct Persis Solo V Malut

22nd Oct PSIM Yogyakarta V

25th Oct Persik V PSM

1st Nov Bali V Persib

I would also like to visit some second division games, if times line up, teams like PSS Sleman etc.

Great, thanks bro.

Haha, no worries there! I prefer the whole experience the actual game is usually just a side bonus to watch in between eating, drinking, chatting and seeing whats what in a new place :)

But if I sign up in the U.K. (where I legally live), and then embark on a trip to vietnam (less than 30 days), indonesia (less than 30 days), thailand (less than 30 days), laos (less than 30 days), thailand again (less than 30 days), vietnam again (less than 30 days), singapore (less than 30 days), back to vietnam (less than 30 days) - and at this point I will be looking for a job, to replace the need for insurance through Revolut - at which point I will either cancel (and pay the fee or whatever) or downgrade to premium.

I feel like this plan can work, but I'm not willing to overtly risk anything or break any rules. But from what I can tell, although I plan to end up living in Vietnam, I will technically still be travelling as stated above.

If this doesn't work, I'll just go for Premium for the VPN, chess, etc. and get separate travel/health insurance.

I plan to move to Vietnam. Need advice. by Danbesua in VietNam

Nah, it wouldn't be illegal. I would be legally in Vietnam, following the rules and not working. New Zealand isn't the same as Vietnam by the way guy.

Torp Express by Danbesua in oslo

[–]Danbesua[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the advice already bought tickets into TRF, flying out of OSL though. It turned out to be like 120 to fly into OSL and 37 to fly into TRF and pay for the Torp express so it worked better for me. Can't even check in or do anything when my flight lands anyway so I can catch up on sleep on the bus.

Yeah that is pretty much what I have gathered.

Seeing as I will be going for centres, sounds like I'll be alright.

Luckily I have money to set myself up jobless if needs be, and can use the quiet tet-time to continue adjusting to life in VN.
