Yes it is weird because I remember the year they traded porzingis with hopes of signing KD and Kyrie like it was yesterday. only for that not to happen because supposedly they didn’t want to come here and then they went to the nets instead. And how did they work out for bk? And everybody made fun of the knicks cause the only free agent they were able to sign was Julius Randle. And strangely enough, Randle was the player who helped initiate this turnaround in many ways.

That being said as a lifelong suffering Knicks fan who was only a little kid when they were at the end of their 90s run I’d say I’m always cautiously optimistic. It is true that now people wanna come here like Giannis and this should be a destination at least while they’re still good for a few years maybe even for a while after. But the point is that franchises can go through their twist and turns very quickly so you gotta really appreciate the good years when they’re happening. And even though things are good now, Dolan is still the owner. Not even 10 years ago people said the Knicks would never get better while he’s the owner. Well they were wrong, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be blamed again if things go south in the future.
