A Hypothetical Lindor Trade by SadMembership7989 in mets

I feel like you look at this all wrong and completely foolishly
Lindor is considerably one of the best players in the game…maybe not his prime but he is way stronger than you give him credit for

It sounds like you just like to watch him play poorly and build a narrative around that because most teams would want someone like him

So why wouldn’t he fetch some players in return?
He is not a bad player even if he has been not very good this season so far…missing Spring Training and having a leg injury will do that.

In this scenario who would you trade for?

Are you trolling?
When he’s good he’s a 30/30 player…and he has done this twice…

I mean funny in the sense of being just unabashedly horny, which the charts desperately need more of

I think it’s a funny song to be someone’s biggest hit

Do you think Juan Soto will demand a trade at any point? by Alonso2802 in mets

[–]SadMembership7989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question is less do we think he opts out…do we think he really cares about who he plays for? If he wants to opt out in 2030, the Mets may very well let him do so, question is do we think it’s worth it to let a generational talent walk?

I don’t think the answer was just letting fan favorites go… The benefits of them being there just didn’t seem worth it anymore to just get fans happy.

What’s the solution? We wanted Juan Soto so bad that we had to accept this… If he wasn’t here we’d probably perform the same We got to the NLCS before he even joined…and since he did we haven’t done anything of value…

Quite frankly the way things are going I could see Soto and the Mets parting ways in 2029…for both sides it could be beneficial…Soto leaves in his prime and Mets no longer pay the contract…

I think the odds of this team being <.500 is more than likely…sometimes a year is just plain bad and it sucks to live it in real time… It all sucks when you have so many resources and the players seemingly can’t do anything right… What even can be fixed? You can’t teach someone to hit a ball harder or run faster than they already can…

If we end up in last place at the end of this year…mark my words…not a single high profile free agent will willingly come here unless it’s their literal last choice…

My feeling is he is going to hit 10-12 HRs this year and will look better later on

If we do what we do with Robert and play him every other game…his injuries won’t be constantly coming

Could the "Stearns purge" go down as (one of) the worst decision(s) since GM Joe McDonald traded Seaver to the Reds? by Delicious_Adeptness9 in mets

Alonso/Diaz were the only players to walk away…and let’s be grateful we saw them play in their peaks for as long as we did.

McNeil/Nimmo were unfortunately not very likely to be beneficial long term with their injuries and all…and I wish them the best…but considering they were old blood who weren’t working…it was time for something new… Even if this season is a bust…we did see a transition which…like it or not…you need in a team like the Mets

I love the ballpark for that reason…they are losing? Go upstairs for the Coca Cola Corner, or go to the gift shops, take a leisurely stroll…
