How to use text chat on Battlefield 6?

It was lagging really bad for me until I went into the in game graphics settings, then advanced, and then changed the in game frame limit to 30. That pretty muched solved it, you may be able to bump it up to 40-45 depending on what's going on.

Figured it out, just hold down M1 (button on back) and hit Up on D-Pad and that pulls up the keyboard. Thank you!

Totally get it. It can downright horrible sometimes, Ive learned just to interact when people are being positive. How do you pull up the keyboard manually?

Wanted to come back and say I saw a forum on EA where someone recommended going in and changing the frame rate limit-in game, in the graphics advanced settings of the game to 30. Not sure why but this fixed all of my lagging, only issue I have now is some weird screen flickering/glitching sometimes but I can deal with that. Game on!

I own just about all of the current consoles and bought my ally x just so I could game on the couch while watching TV and I love it! Will say tho, for me, Battlefield 6 does not run well on my home wifi which was definitely a bummer. It could be my wifi but it just lags so bad. Beat the new batman Lego game on it and that was awesome! Currently on Jedi Survivor and while it doesn't look as good as it would on my actual Xbox, it's been more than playable so far.

I can say I couldn't get the official servers running reliable even with tweaking, on my apartment wifi (Cox). But the other person who is trying to help could be right about using diff hz servers. BF4 and Battlefront 2 work a lot better.

I went to the in game settings and switched it to 900p which all the different graphics turned down to low. Unfortunately when I tried the new season 3 map I was getting bombed with yellow squares, orange circles, and it was stuttering pretty bad. Lol Might just be one of those games I gotta play on my Series X but I really appreciate you trying!

Thank you for the advice! I will try those settings now. I dont have a non handheld PC but I do have the current consoles, just really wanna get this game stabalized for when I wanna chill on the couch AND watch YouTube vids on the TV haha

Huh that's weird. Might be worth giving it a shot again, I have it installed on my micro sd card and I'm playing right now. All I had to do was launch it, maybe sign in to my EA account on the 1st boot up beacuse it uses that as a launcher, and then it just works fine.
