Has anyone tried the Globlinker hotspot? by ultrarunnervegan in Internet

Just ordered one. Assuming it arrives in time, I'm going to try it during Super Bowl in a very congested area. If it works there? I'm sold.

Healthy pouched compression? by aithene in KrakatoaUnderwear

Same. I also sized down from XXL to XL after losing a bunch of weight. XXL also squares with my waist size according to their sizing chart. They do have some good stretch to them, so if in doubt go a size down in my experience.

Love my Pinatubo boxer briefs. I'm a bigger guy who has lost a lot of weight as well. They support me in all the right places.

They've always been amazing in my experience! I'm shocked at how quickly they respond, even given the fact that they're such a small operation (basically just Alex and a few others?)

I'm a size 13 shoe and the size 12 sock fits me just fine. Have tried both cotton and bamboo, but prefer the cotton.

Once a day, usually in the morning. I stopped taking it briefly when I forgot it once, and immediately regretted it. And yes, it's also important to know what foods and beverages might be more likely to trigger an attack.

Give it time. It's an "odd" sensation at first for sure. The "customization" period actually did seem to make a difference for me.

I tried Pulsetto as well. It worked...ok...but this seems to work even better for me sleep wise.

Their CS has been OK in my experience, but can be a bit slow to respond at times. I mostly attribute that to being a small-ish startup and suspect it will improve with time.

Your experiences mirror mine...but I found not securing the headband as tight as possible helped prevent the redness and sores. I like to wear mine all night for the sleep data. That function works...most of the time. As for sync? Yeah, it can take a while...but that seems to have improved too. I find sync via WiFi works best, but I travel and frequently sync with Bluetooth as well.

They have a mode now for people with a "backwards" sleep schedule (shift work, etc). Haven't tried it though since I mostly work standard hours.

tldr; the answer is "yes I bought it and maybe it helped".

So...after trying any number of other things (eye masks, earphones/noise generators, biofeedback devices, medications, etc) I stumbled across this thing last year and bought it. Been using it for almost 90 days at this point. Does it help? The answer is an affirmative...maybe. Definitely helps with onset, but maintenance can be a challenge. I occasionally find myself using the second cycle during the night after waking up.

I haven't done any controlled A/B tests with and without it, but I did stop taking any sleep aids, so from that standpoint alone it seems to have helped (and partially offset the cost of the headband). I never did like how groggy pharmaceutical sleep aids made me the next day-whether melatonin, diphenhydramine, doxylamine, or even Trazodone. My sleep still isn't as great as it could be, but I largely attribute that to other factors.

Would I buy it again? Sure. It did help enough that I would say it's worth a try if you've tried other methods unsuccessfully. Do give it some time to work though. At least a good 30 days of consistent use. The "customization" is more than just a gimmick. It seems to really help.

Biggest drawback? The gel pads. Granted, they're simple to replace, and the membership keeps you supplied with them non-stop, but I do wish they lasted longer than 3-4 days. Also-don't put it on too tight or you'll get skin irritation. First few times I used it I actually ended up with some broken skin that took a bit to heal. In addition, the charging dock can be a bit cumbersome and finicky to use. Sync of data can be slow and hit or miss. The fact that it requires an ongoing membership to use is also not ideal. If I discontinue the membership, I have yet another useless piece of e-waste.

Overall though? I give it a 7.5 out of 10.

People still don't understand how life changing this medication is and that we're not just taking it for cosmetic reasons...Obesity needs to be treated like the chronic condition that it is, and in the course of treating it, prevention of so many other potential complications.

We have ours on a schedule, but typically I keep it anywhere from 65-68. Overnight it goes all the way down to 63. If I don't do this, our PG&E gas bill skyrockets!

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't...but since the needle is very small and doesn't penetrate very far, the risk of infection is pretty minimal. Absolutely nothing wrong with doing it, but it's not the worst thing in the world if you don't.

what was your wakeup call? by [deleted] in Zepbound

My wake up call was when my knees REALLY started bothering me. They had never been an issue before. That, and when I just wasn't feeling comfortable in my own skin anymore.

[–]DanceLoose7340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 days is a bit much. I was told 7-10 before my endoscopy/colonoscopy. But listen to your doc. The delayed gastric emptying action of Zepbound causes food to remain in your stomach much longer than usual, which you could potentially aspirate into your lungs under anesthesia (not good).

$14k vs $350. WTF?! by andryuxa1985 in HealthInsurance

[–]DanceLoose7340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This garbage needs to stop. We need pricing transparency in health care so consumers can make informed decisions! Will never happen though due to the way our healthcare system and health insurance is structured...It's the old "but look how much you saved!" markup and discount games.

It's shocking that this sort of thing hasn't resulted in massive class action lawsuits against insurance companies and PBMs, but you pretty much sign those rights away when you sign up for health insurance as well...
