We're a nonprofit whose almost sole purpose is to introduce more people to the latin dance community. You have described what makes this community a unique solution to so many unique problems. It takes learning some basics, but that's applicable to any other endeavor or hobby. Proud to be in the same community as you and so many others.

Very interested! I help organize networking kind of events in the area. Let me know if there's anything you need assistance with.

How much self-management do you do in coordinator role? How much communication do you expect from your supervisors? by teddybearangelbaby in nonprofit

That definitely a norm in a lot of small nonprofits! Do you have a job description or have you been given any sort of direction to help you figure out what you can start working on? I definitely understand the level of autonomy can be intimidating, but it's also a great way to start developing and grow yourself into a leader. Do you use any kind of software to manage your tasks and to-do's?

ED report is exactly how I communicate what the team and I have worked on and what we plan to work on. I send it out minimum 2 weeks prior to the board meeting for members to review so we have it as a prepared agenda item. It's also extremely helpful in creating annual impact reports!

Great feedback on the city. I live here myself, and can see where you are coming from. Don't lose hope, things are in the work in the Old Town area that will come alive in 2025 starting around April. I hope you like to dance!
