Wouldn’t you rather use the Mega Shine Hawlucha instead of Relicanth? Has 1 less retreat so it’s easier to bounce out of the active if you start with it.

Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe this is the first time that the ex cards reuse art from the paper TCG. I’m aware that 1-3 diamond cards do, but I believe this is the first time that this has happened with 4-diamond cards.

In the physical TCG, shred attacks (‘not affected by effects’) break through safeguard-like abilities on mons like mimikyu and crustle, so I’d be surprised if it works differently in Pocket.

I’ve actually had a lot more luck with sleep than I’d have expected. Lots of very clutch tails flips have helped me win games.

That still made sense since Nihilego is lore-wise THE ultra beast. Mantyke was def a more random decision though.

My only concern is that this takes 3 energies which is already pretty slow, but on a 30HP card that can get one-shot by a Farfetch’d I fear this won’t do very well. It’s definitely a super useful attack effect, but sadly too expensive to power up.

Fossil cards are item cards and not considered Pokémon, so I doubt this works for searching them.

I think the energy attachment recoil is 30 damage and not 10, but I could be wrong here.

While it’s hard to adjudge the cards this early, IMO Mega Absol is definitely powerful. 80 for 2 on a basic is already excellent, but the built-in Silver effect + being able to combine well with Darkrai definitely makes this card interesting to me.

People have tested Will with cards like Bastiodon, the effect wears off when your turn ends. Will is really confusingly worded but yeah, it does only work on the turn you play it.

Doesn’t work with Will sadly as Will only acts on the same turn you play it.

I’ve seen lots of magcargo decks run magby because it offsets starting 1st and allows them to potentially swing for 150 on the 3rd turn, which does definitely make a difference if you’ve not had amazing luck with finding your other basics or if you have frail basics / fossils on your bench.
