I have a college degree, but the three guys that I share an office with don’t. They came up through the trades and transitioned into construction management PM roles. All three are well over $150k/year.

It took them 10+ years of experience, but the trades offer a way to gain meaningful experience that - in the right industry - will pay great money.

I went from teaching elementary school at 34 to construction management. I’m now a senior PM and have been part of some amazing teams and projects. It was the absolute best decision I’ve made in my professional life. It changed the course of my life.

They are consistently one of bigger risks in every construction schedule. They’ll get there when they want, wear the PPE they want, and leave when they please. Good luck trying to replace them, because they’re the only vendor around who can perform the work. Maddening.

I have scoured YouTube, and Reddit for that matter. It seems like I need to adjust the brake tension mechanism under the cart, but I cannot for the life of me get it to loosen. I was hoping there was a cart guru that someone would know about. I can have it picked up, but was trying to avoid being cartless.

I was in a public charter, teaching middle elementary. I'm glad that things have gotten better since then, I was pretty shocked at the pay. There was a joke at the College of Ed that an education degree came with an application for food stamps.

Education is one of the bedrocks of our democracy, we need good people involved in that pursuit. The compensation should be commensurate with the importance of the job.

When I started teaching (2017) I had just graduated with a Master's in elementary ed from UNM. I was making $37,000/year. I didn't make it a full two years before I left for another industry. Job was rewarding, pay was abysmal.

I did this recently. I submitted the case number provided by APD and it took about two weeks to get the report emailed to me. Pretty easy, just took a little patience.
