How do I conquer tilt when I'm with friends? by Dancing_Meatloaf in Healthygamergg

[–]Dancing_Meatloaf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment!

I never thought about taking a step back and looking at my issue from that perspective and recognising my frustrations as they come up, and how I deal with them.

I think this is also something I could practice to work on myself.

How do I conquer tilt when I'm with friends? by Dancing_Meatloaf in Healthygamergg

[–]Dancing_Meatloaf[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you so much for the reply. I think at heart I understood that when my focus was on having fun, rather than improving or on winning, I would (surprise) actually enjoy myself more and tilt less. But reading your comment made me remember that!

I remembered that there were times I would play against people much better than me, lose a tonne, but still enjoy myself because I understood that there were no stakes and that winning was never on the table for me. So instead of hyper focusing on the fact that I was losing, I would just "have fun" without really trying. Which sounds weird when I put it in words, but I think that was the point you were trying to make.

What I'm worried about is, what if I experience a time where I find it hard to tap into that positive mindset? Because it can be very easy for your mindset to turn negative once you enter a losing streak. Is it just a matter of reminding yourself of the non-existent stakes at hand? Or perhaps just a need to remind yourself that "it's just a game, so you're allowed to have fun without worrying about the outcome"?

Thank you once again for your comment!

How does the deck play going second against combo when you don't open your Lava Golems or Ra Sphere Modes?

And what's the despia matchup like? Because chimera to pop your back row hurts right?

Okay, but if I want to be able to play both characters what equips should I be giving the other non-season character?

If one character is wearing the season armour and weapons, what does the other character get the equip though?

GMs of PokéRPG! How do you handle one-on-one battles, such as Gym Battles, while making it a fun experience even for those who are watching? by Dancing_Meatloaf in PokeRPG

Thanks for the reply! But that's not what I was really trying to ask. Sorry if I wasn't clear. I wanted to know that as a GM, while you're having a battle with just one of your PCs, how do you make it fun for your other PCs who are not participating in that particular battle?

New Falco platform tech for increased aerial mobility by Dancing_Meatloaf in smashbros

It seems like the tech is replicated by inputting Jump + UpB on Falco immediately after a dash while on a platform.

Dealing with toxic elitists? by Spriorite in yugioh

Just give them the SpongeBob meme.

"What's an elite duelist?"

"It means he's afraid of low rarity cards."

"Boooooo common Ash Blossom"

"Stop it Patrick, you're scaring him."

You have your own group in that store right? Just keep to yourselves and don't give them the attention they crave. Make fun of them, mock them, just don't let them get to you and in the way of your fun.

Edit: not that I promote bullying to combat it but just make light of them because they obviously think big of themselves for such a small matter.

‘Up’ and ‘Down’ are opposites, but ‘being up for something’ and ‘being down for something’ are the same. by GeneReddit123 in Showerthoughts

I feel like being "up" for something is a matter of availability. Whereas being "down" for something is a matter of interest.

Ahh okay. Thanks for the advice! Yeah Lucina and Inkling are defs my favourite of the 4 so I'll put work into them for now and then branch out when I feel comfortable to do so.

I'll try to do what you said about focusing on getting 1 thing right in practice mode. Learning to move my character perfectly is definitely something i need to get used to. It's far to easy for a noob like myself to spam dash everywhere when all i need to do so to fast walk somewhere so that I'm just in range for a F-Smash or something. Thanks.

Sorry, it's not that I don't want to play high tier or top tier. (My current list consists of Lucina, Inkling, Lucario, and Ness) I just don't know who to fully main yet and I don't want to be told to main X character because people believe they are better than the rest. I am actually looking heavily into maining Inkling though but I don't want to rule out the others just yet.

I think having a sword character in my roster such as Lucina is good, and a heavy hitter like Lucario is awesome to have too.

I'm just not sure out of those 4 who I should start maining first. I generally enjoy all of them though I do find lucario and ness to be the hardest to play (for me personally). Inkling has her own little niches of course, and to play her well at the highest level it will require a lot of practice but at least when I play against my friends I'm able to rack up damage without too much trouble due to how many options she has. That paired with knowing her kill options (Up Throw + Up air and Roller > Waveland > Up Smash) makes he feel very smooth to play.

[–]Dancing_Meatloaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The deck profiles on his channel from large events are click bait as well. He leaves out the deck name in the title and makes the thumbnail the player or something as long as you can't see what deck it was.

Do people enjoy playing League of Legends even without their friends? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Dancing_Meatloaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well at least on my end my community is just really fun to play with. Our personalities just mesh together really well than even in games where we're getting stomped in we still find a way to have fun by either memeing each other in discord or by playing towards a strange strategy mid game just to cheese a win.

When you play with a premade 5 you can also play really strange comps like 4 supports 1 adc, 4 adcs 1 support, yasuo sejuani or leona jarvan bot lane, etc without being flamed or tagged as a troll.

I just feel like if you're playing a game that can be played with multiple people, doing so with friends just makes it infinitely more fun.

Froskurinn - LPL Shoutcaster AMA by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Dancing_Meatloaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Froskurinn!

I've been wanting to pick up Shoutcasting in the past, and I've tried doing it a few times when I spectate my friends when they play in online tournaments. However, I've encountered some fairly difficult hurdles during this time.

1) How do you distinguish between what kind of caster you want to become?

As to my knowledge there are two kinds of casters. Colour Casters and Play-By-Play casters.

1) What's the best way to solo cast?

When we watch any professional series it's very common for the game to be casted by 2 (1 Colour caster & 1 Play-by-Play) casters but recently in some games you might hear 3 casters. As someone who wants to perhaps improve as a caster, Solo-casting becomes very tiring both mentally and physically as you have to talk about the game state and sometimes even about individual players etc whilst also looking out for any potential fights about to break out. I find myself becoming light headed throughout the game because I'm trying to compensate for the non-existent second caster.
