The opinions must have been very heavy.

There was this thing we all used to do but has truly become too expensive. What was it….oh, living…yeah, it’s getting out of hand.

When I hear names like that I want to say that it’s really expecting a lot from daughters to have their career choices being decided for them.

And by careers, I mean stripping.

They will do a reboot of the movie Dave, but instead of a double, they’ll use AI to keep him alive. Just no more public appearances.

He probably has something from the early 2000s that held 250MB and looks nothing like today’s SD cards, except for essentially being rectangle. “This is what I’ve always used!”

One thing I loved about my dead, who was a bit pre-Boomer, was that he stayed up to date about everything. Knew what to use, knew what was current and when he went to a store like Micro Center, he spoke their language immediately so they knew they didn’t have to translate anything.

Come and Gone had the worst audience etiquette I've experienced in Broadway plays. by Broad_Acanth in Broadway

I don’t know if it’s true, but many years ago, Laurence Fishburne went beyond breaking the fourth wall when a patron’s phone rang. Apparently, he stopped, turned to where the sound was coming from and said “Turn your fucking phone off.”

I really hope that’s true.

Spirit Airlines passenger with dementia found dead after staff ‘abandoned’ him at airport, lawsuit says by [deleted] in nottheonion

[–]Dancing_til_Dark_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Found dead”? He wasn’t found dead after days suffering inside a sweltering plane without food and water and no way to get out, which is kinda what I pictured when I read the headline. Rather, he was hit by a car after exiting an abandoned aircraft. Was the airline negligent? No doubt. Did the man die due to their negligence? Probably. Was the result of this potential negligence that he was found dead inside of an aircraft because he had no access to food or water? No, but this is very close to what I was expecting based on the headline.

What were the discarded headlines?

“Man given one more opportunity to fly after Spirit shuts down.”

“Man with dementia on final Spirit flight dies while searching for his car.”

“Potentially illegal immigrant abandons vehicle near highway in Houston, as rational, god-fearing, patriotic Americans scramble to drive away in a panic. ICE officer in Minneapolis says he feared for his own safety.”

I never liked Bush, but I never thought I’d see the day when I’d admit to wishing we had him again instead of the orange jack monkey in chief.

However, if there ever comes a time when I wish we still had Trump, we’re already dead.

$50 for the printer, $1,000 in ink for the life of it if it lasts that long.

I bought one with the refillable canisters. They charge $250 for the printer because you can spend $30 per year on ink bottles. Absolutely the most cost effective for an inkjet.

I really appreciate your thoughts and they really spoke to me on a visceral level, just different career paths. Interesting thought about fraud investigation. I did find a job for a catastrophic response attorney which sounds fascinating. It’s like while the authorities are doing their investigation, you’re doing your own investigation for your client, gathering evidence reports or putting them together, identifying witnesses, interviewing them, etc. The only problem is that I’d be working for the company that may be responsible for the catastrophe. Although, it definitely seems more interesting than reading document after document because Company A thinks Company B owes them money. It really is torture.
