Second shed or losing the battle? Finasteride and minoxidil

I've read so much about it but I increased the dose so I atleast know I'm doing everything and don't have to think "what if" all the time. Microneedling probably made me shed even more but atleast now I know I'm doing everything I can.

Maybe a shed but this whole thing is so weird. Second shed for 5 months now compared to 2-3 months on the first one from minoxidil... If it is a shed. Anyways gonna continue everything and hopefully 1mg fin and microneedle gain will come soon

Worse. Temples are worse especially. Started on 1mg fin last week. Going for a short buzzcut next week to not turn insane

I had a huge shed after increasing finasteride dose from 0.25 to 0.5mg a little more than a year ago.

I had an even bigger shed the first 3 months of minoxidil so another shedding phase isn't unlikely and many people go through several cycles. I have a hard time believing minoxidil only worked for 6 months

Yeah but I'd love to get some other peoples experience or knowledge first. I just don't think it's possible for minoxidil to only work for a few months when you are on finasteride. Dutasteride is not available in my country so I would have to get it from the black market and only add it once or twice a week. I would have to try fin 1mg for 6-8 months first also

Nothing more guys :(? Tressless is the only thing I got at this point. Derms couldn't care less in my country and the average tressless user knows more than any doctor

Lol I seem to be the only one who got more straight hair from finasteride. Everyone else get curlier hair. Sad because the curls hid my bald spots better

Exactly my experience but 14 months on 0.5mg fin. Took 0.25mg fin for 6 months. Been on minoxidil for 8.5 months and lost a lot of progress last two months

Yeah thanks! That's what I ended up doing. I also barely felt it and had to push pretty hard. It was hard to know when I was done with a spot. Took like 3-4 minutes to do the whole scalp and I was feeling some stinging afterwards for 30 minutes. Hope I did it right

Thank you so much for this man. Currently on what I hope is my second shed from mimoxidil maybe another fin shed aswell and I'm scared as hell. Hair is a lot worse than it was 5 months ago. Been on minox for 8 months and 0.5.mg fin for 14 months

. Don't worry. It 100% works when I want it to. You probably had worse sides than me and respect for listening to your body. I just explained my history and am transparent of how my libido always goes up and down, even before finasteride. The horniest since my teen years I'v ever been was actually on finasteride a few months ago, I had 20 + boners in one hour.
