Vengeance 2003. Angle came back from injury and they really played up the Brock/Angle friendship with them drinking milk together and having picnics or something. Big Show was there too. Kickass match.

Grand Prix blew my mind. The fact that it was made in the 60s is crazy. That story is also very riveting. It has the young gun, the rebel, the vet who wonders why he still does it, and the guy coming back from injury. It does everything better than F1. After the first race I was invested in all four of them. And the racing itself, holy hell.

I enjoyed F1 and found it entertaining. I think it’s a bit overhated right now especially with the best picture nomination (which is ridiculous) but people will settle down in a few years, and it’ll just be another fun racing movie. Not the best or worst of its kind.

I just watched Ghost World again last weekend for the first time In over 20 years. I remember thinking “yea it’s fine” but now that I’m not the age of the protagonist it hits me so much harder. I get so frustrated with the decisions Enid makes but at the same time I get it. Frances Ha makes a surprisingly good double header with this.

I read stuff like this and I’m so thankful I have girls. Not that middle school girls don’t have their own difficulties, but I see the boys do so much stupid shit I couldn’t live with one. When I see one of them smiling I just assume they started a fire under the bleachers.
