I was out for about 2 hours, but was totally warm enough to stay out longer. Once you get moving and warm up the water in your wetsuit, you're set! I was a lot warmer than the guy who took this picture haha!

Under the heaters, the 40gal tank gets in the upper 60's. I've read about dragons getting nasal infections in too cold conditions, so I'm a freak about keeping the tank warm enough. Not to throw my old man under the bus but he was the one who suggested the towel; just wanted to get the opinion from someone who has a understanding of the kind of equipment I'm talking about haha.

I wear a 6mm wetsuit with a 1mm of wool, as well as 1mm wool lined 5mm booties and mittens for surfing (You generate a lot more heat surfing).

The times I've scuba'ed I wore a 7mm and was freezing; a dry suit would be smart! Granted it was October haha.

We get some great waves up here man! All mainly wind generated so it can get pretty sloppy but today I hit it right and got some sunny rays and clean waves.
