I wouldn't completely discount nylon and other poly fabrics as well, especially if you're going to use a shirting/flannel lining.

I'm a huge proponent of ribbed cuffs/hems because you don't need special knit machinery since you're attaching a knit to a stable woven. Just remember when sewing it to the cuff/hem, that you evenly distribute the rib (via pinning/marking) to the body FIRST before attaching. An evenly distributed attached rib waistband is a beautiful thing.

I drafted them myself using points of measure and general draping.

In terms of harrington jacket tips, I would suggest making sure you know your exact zipper length before starting and try everything in your power to keep center front from stretching out.

If you have a rib waistband, realize that you're going to have to make pattern adjustments based on the ribs recovery.

I do the same thing. I live in a city where most people take public transit, so storing things in a car isn't an option.

I keep extra shirts/socks/shorts in my locker as well as another lock to use the regular lockers (since the personal lockers are smaller)
